As the #residency interview season wraps up, applicants often ask, how do I let programs know I really like them? how do I increase my match chances?
It's not required and not sure if makes a difference but if it makes you feel better do it. Most important, be honest!(1/4)
Do not tell a program they are your first choice if they are not, and a program canNOT ask you where you are ranking them. See here for Match Communication Code of Conduct. (2/4) #match2021 nrmp.org/communication-…
Do NOT rank a program higher just because u think they ranked u high & u more likely to match there. Rank programs in order of YOUR TRUE PREFERENCE. The Match algorithm works to ur advantage so rank higher those u liked more even if reach. More tips nrmp.org/ranking-reside… (3/4)
Do not rank programs u did not interview at.
Do not leave programs u interviewed at off ur rank list unless u are absolutely sure u do not want to train there and u would rather go unmatched than match there.
SOAP is not fun and not a better option than matching! #match2021 (4/4)

How to reduce healthcare worker exposure and flatten our #COVID curve
This is what we’re doing w/ OBGYN faculty and residents 1. Separate providers: Inpatient & Outpatient 2. Divide in 2 teams: Active Duty (in person care) and Reserve Duty (Virtual), rotate on 2 wk basis (1/4)
3. Cluster L&D shifts: Same day team and same night team over several consecutive days 4. If pairing or teams, always pair/team the same people together and replace them as a team if one becomes ill (2/4)
5. Mandate each person wipe down the work station/keybboard before each shift and sanitize hands regularly – multiple users at computer stations is unavoidable across a day 6. Enforce social distancing by removing/re-arranging furniture in common areas (3/4)
