Whenever people boast about their privilege. For example, when someone says got a expensive dress item. I'm converting that amount in my mind. 700rs of ration for one family/month and that xyz amount would feed 10 families, 20 families and so on. That's how im looking at things.
Have pushed big purchases and even cleared off some accounts coz that could be used for someone. There are many things on my mind but I tell people that we can bounce back if we lose everything but those folks won't be able to. It has changed my perspective of looking at things.
It is a risk coz at some point you have to find the money to keep the minimum balances or savings. But that's ok . No one should go hungry. The sum/money would be helping some people. As my dad would say, one shouldn't hesitate to help people in need. Just do it.
Im privileged but others do not have the same privilege. I may have struggled to get to where I am but I won't use that to gain publicity. There are many who still unable to feed their families. If I can use my privilege and be there for the people then that's the least I can do.
I got chills and had nightmares last year thinking about the families. It was around this time, the Delhi pogrom victims were left out on their own. I will be forever grateful to @midhatkidwai @subiism @Kissekahaaniyan for being there for these families.
There was the JNU/Jamia events that even shattered my hopes. It was difficult coz students were targeted. Again some individuals went above and beyond to help the students. people were targeted by the rw and they were bullied and their identities were revealed. That's the risk.
Thank you @sheevaangii and other handles who helped the students.. it was not easy to coordinate when someone you know would be treated so badly by the police. The police continued to shield the goons who attacked the students. Its a shame that they did that to students.
The most difficult was the lockdown. The migrant workers had no food and were left on their own. There were individuals helping these migrant workers. It was one of the life changing moments. Connected with volunteers on ground who were helping with the ration and daily supplies
The volunteers even risked their lives. It was a complete lockdown and get the supplies was difficult. Some of volunteers even emptied their own savings. Thanks again @midhatkidwai @Kissekahaaniyan @chubbyshek @JustHydThings @subiism and few other handles who helped coordinate.
Even supply chain management companies would not be able to do that. Let me explain. The volunteers raised money through this birdie app for a cause. They would ask the contribution sent directly to individuals. They would close the cause once the amount has been raised.
In other cases, the volunteers would personally get the supplies. Bundle up essentials/kit and hand deliver.

What started a small effort then expanded to Kerala, telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Kashmir, UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and few other states.
For people who think what can they do staying away from the country? Please reach out and I can show you how your small contribution would make a huge difference for a family across the world. Its not rocket science.
Also I was fooled by one user in the US. I knew it was not a genuine person but still ender up helping him pay for his car payments and even transferred directly using the cash app. The reason I did that was I told myself that I would help people here and no questions asked.
The only regret was that could have been used for a better cause but I hope this person would have used those dollars for a good cause. Anyway, there is a risk as well and I was ready to accept that. This didn't stop me from making a difference for others..
During all this, the most challenging part was when both sides of the family was hit by the virus. Staying away from home, we didn't know what to do. Couldn't even travel. Thanks to wonderful people, got the timely help and family members recovered.
When I reached out for help, @nuts2406 went over and above and connected me with volunteers. Wouldn't even know if there a home treatment option available. The folks even arranged a oxygen device and kept a tab on my dad every single day and they did all that free of cost.
Its already a long thread and I don't know if any of that made sense but I hope people look after each other. There is joy in sharing. we cannot turn a blind eye to the injustice and only think of self interests. Going above and beyond may be difficult but it's possible.
I want to also thank my family members for their support and there were times I was depressed. sleepless in seattle was very apt coz. I even stayed up till 5 or 6 in the morning. coordinating something or waiting on those beneficiary accounts to be confirmed. Thank you everyone
I'm sorry as I missed to include few handles earlier. I want to thank @Fatima_Z0hra. @Khushbookhan_ @Fahad_Heaven @HasibaAmin and others doing similar work and helping the people in need. Keep up the good work. Thanks again!!

#defunddelhipolice

The way the @DelhiPolice has behaved and treated their own citizens is a national shame. This police force has no respect for human lives and have no spine. All they do is take orders from their masters. This is the worst police force in the entire country.
Political leaders have seen the wrong and they haven’t spoken about the police atrocities. What they are doing today to protesting farmers is not new. delhi riots, JNU, Jamia were identical. They even have given goons immunity to misbehave with the protestors. This is a shame.
There should be FIRs filed against all those police personnel who have been found guilty. The sanjiv bhatt case should be reminder for these police force.. even though sanjiv was not involved, he was sentenced. However the same can be done for people who are found guilty.

It doesn't matter what role @Tweet2Rhea had... She is a human being and people cannot be this cruel. I'm sorry Rhea.... I hope you get the needed support and legal help to pursue justice..
I had kept quiet hoping that the system will help her... I'm not sure if we will ever get her the justice... She was SSRs girlfriend.. If an adult man decided to spend his life with this person, he also would be aware that life brings a lot of changes...
SSR is one of the greatest actors and was a great human being.. Even he wouldnt have imagined anything like this would happen to Rhea.. Common guys, you are taking things out of proportion.. It was a private matter and how did people turn this into real life drama.

Let’s put this to context..

During the emergency, the Metropolitan Juhanon Marthoma wrote a letter to the Indira Gandhi..
He had strong convictions and he was fearless. When national emergency was clamped on the country, the Metropolitan saw that the country was in danger of losing its hard-won freedom.
He was the only Church leader in India who took courage to write a personal letter to the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi asking to lift the Emergency in the interest of Indian democracy. Thus, he faced the risk of being placed under arrest.

Been thinking of a word to describe the struggles of the black community.

#BLMphobia is what i’m thinking and i’m open to other ideas..

#BLMPhobia can be defined as the fear, hatred of, or prejudice against the Black community.
The def is refernce from this link with exception to black community.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamopho…
There are similarities between islamophobia and BLMPhobia..

There is a group who use the below excuse

“we have biryani and have a lot of Muslim friends.. we also wish them on Eid”

However there is no shortage of hatred or racist remarks against the muslims. #Islamophobia

Daughter had a brilliant idea.. right now it’s difficult to find any masks around.. However, the sandwich\ziplock bag can be used..
The ziplock fits correctly and would cover the face. A cloth mask can be used over this and easily fit any human. This adds additional safety coz it’s covered and one can breathe as well.
If one needs a quick mask and need to use it for few mins.. try this out.. it may not last as the strings may go off.. if not used with cloth/ surgical mask.

I’ve was trying to look for the origin of the corono virus and per reports online, there is evidence that says this could be from Bats. This was based on the virologists perspective and they believe that theory based on genetics.
Upon going through the material available online, the horseshoe bats are common in Asia. This is also common in the wuhan region. There are reports that t bats peed on the Scientists who were at the lab and cause the outbreak.reports say that the scientists quarantined for 28 days
