Morrison's vaccine program is another case of announcements and re-announcements with no actual outcome for Australians. It's all smirk and mirrors. Photo ops and no follow ups. This thread will list every major Media Release / Announcement on the vaccine to Australians!

1⃣ Morrison announced a 'fast track' of $2 million in funding for COVID research that would also help develop a COVID vaccine. This was on 18 Feb 2020.

3⃣ The Government announces that we will be among the first in the world to receive a COVID-19 vaccine if AstraZeneca is successful. This was announced on 19 Aug 2020. Well, the AZ vaccine is being used in other countries but not Australia.

4⃣ Morrison announces early access to 3.8 million doses of the AstraZeneca Vaccine in JANUARY AND FEBRUARY 2021! This announcement was made on 7 Sep 2020 after already announcing that we would be among the first to receive the AZ vaccine in August.

5⃣ Morrison announces new vaccine deals bringing Australia's vaccine does total over 134 million doses on 5 Nov 2020. Yet, not a single Australian has been vaccinated.

How can we be a leader on fighting COVID when we are one of only two continents on Earth to have not started vaccinations?

A real leader doesn't make constant announcements. They deliver results. @ScottMorrisonMP is an expert at purchasing vaccines but a complete failure in getting Australians vaccinated.

These 8 major announcements don't even include the minor announcements, the interviews and other Press Conferences where Morrison was asked about the vaccine and reguratigated these announcements. If a tweeted about every mention Morrison made on vaccines, I'd be here all night.

Morrison promised that we would:
➡️Be among the first to get vaccinated
➡️Have early access to vaccines
➡️Vaccinate with AZ in January and February 2021
Morrison has failed all of these. @abcnews @abc730 @theage @smh @GuardianAus @australian do your job and report on this!
