The feds have submitted additional evidence against Capitol riot defendant Matthew Miller, who they are arguing should be kept locked up until his trial.
“….the defendant was not only calling for others to assist in pushing through law enforcement, but he encouraged others and repeatedly attempted to push through with the crowd himself.” courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
Miller’s defense, meanwhile, submitted letters describing Miller as "very cheerful," "kind-hearted and respectful of authority," "upbeat," "a genuinely good person," and "smart, generous, giving, hardworking, a good friend to others…"
Miller’s defense attorney talked to @alexwagner on @SHO_TheCircus, saying Miller “never would have marched” if it wasn’t for Trump. He said Miller “wanted to be part of history” and called Miller a “young and impressionable guy.” Says the mob acted at Trump’s direction.
“I think there’s a certain amount of regret... He is facing considerable time in prison based on the charges... while Trump is down in Mar-a-Lago enjoying his retirement.”

NEW: Brent Bozell’s son charged for actions during Capitol riot. Story w/ @PaulBlu: huffpost.com/entry/brent-bo…
Internet sleuths did a ton of work here, but the earliest mentioned tip to the FBI on Jan. 14 came from W-1, who “was affiliated with the same school that Bozell’s children attended.” The school-banded apparel started some discussion. W-2 is more of a pure internet sleuth.

Several Capitol insurrectionists, upset that Antifa was getting credit for their work, complained on social media (and generated evidence the feds used against them).

There are now more guilty votes against former President Trump than there were in his first impeachment trial.
57-43. As expected, short of two-thirds.

My latest: As Trump’s lawyers asked senators to acquit yesterday, an “embarrassed” Trump supporter who believed Trump's mass voter fraud “B.S.” asked a court to free his 18-year-old son, who stormed the Capitol with a baton while in D.C. with his parents. huffpost.com/entry/bruno-cu…
“I myself feel pretty embarrassed… we believed these people and be disillusioned that there was no big reveal, and nothing came out. It’s disillusioning, disheartening and embarrassing, quite frankly.” huffpost.com/entry/bruno-cu…
