Went with the guy dressed up as an eagle in an American flag suit for the main image, but yes it’s also astonishing that head tattoo guy hasn’t been arrested yet.
One thing the FBI hasn’t done yet: Give their targets the catchy (sometimes humiliating) nicknames they give to bank robbers. But groups like @SeditionHunters have stepped into the void. huffpost.com/entry/fbi-capi…
As @capitolhunters points out, #BaldEagleGuy #BaldEagle (featured in the main illustration on the story) was right in the thick of the battle. High-quality images from the FBI:
A couple of recent additions to the FBI’s Capitol page were dubbed #airheadboy and #airheadlady because they wore stolen emergency masks on their way out of the Capitol. (And, presumably, because they stormed the Capitol with their faces in full view.)
At the moment, the FBI isn’t publishing videos of suspects, although plenty of material has been submitted. Sometimes suspects only get more attention once people see video of what they actually did:
Mocking criminals’ looks (and stupidity) has been a pretty effective PR tactic for the FBI in the past. Any controversy over the nicknames they gave insurrectionists would only help spread the images. Curious to see if the bureau eventually gets there. huffpost.com/entry/fbi-capi…

Pretty poor OPSEC here.
Internet sleuths did a ton of work here, but the earliest mentioned tip to the FBI on Jan. 14 came from W-1, who “was affiliated with the same school that Bozell’s children attended.” The school-banded apparel started some discussion. W-2 is more of a pure internet sleuth.

Several Capitol insurrectionists, upset that Antifa was getting credit for their work, complained on social media (and generated evidence the feds used against them).

The feds have submitted additional evidence against Capitol riot defendant Matthew Miller, who they are arguing should be kept locked up until his trial.

Miller’s defense, meanwhile, submitted letters describing Miller as "very cheerful," "kind-hearted and respectful of authority," "upbeat," "a genuinely good person," and "smart, generous, giving, hardworking, a good friend to others…"
