I don't watch porn. But that doesn't mean I will deprive others from watching it.

It was India specific. Growth of rape cases, population, internet users were taken into consideration.

Sample was large enough (1971-2008).

Conclusion: No such relation found. (2/n)

Researchers concluded "[i]t seems that the much-hyped causal relationship between pornography and sexual behavior is an exaggeration by politicians and mass media."

Ferguson and Hartley are researching on this topic for almost a decade.

Their latest 2020 study (journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.117…) concluded that there is too little evidence to correlate sexual violence with pornography. (4/n)

In European and American countries, the result of such studies are almost same. (scholar.google.com/scholar_lookup…)

However, a few contrary studies are also available. In the end, there is too little evidence to prove that the correlation exists. (5/n)

Let's wait and watch whether it affects the crime rate in UP or nt.

The simple suggestion to avoid crime is to increase the State capacity which is happening.

So, after a few years, we need to find the attributable factor. This vigilance might not be directly responsible. (6/n)
