THREAD: Do you know TISS trains Catholic Priests? At your tax money?

Meet TISS- School of Social Justice faculty member Brinelle D’Souza.

She joined in 1999.

In 26 years, she has not written any rsearch papers, as per TISS website and Google Scholar. She doesn’t have any PhD.

But she has an impressive resume of activism.

First, in November 2024, the TISS organised a workshop for only Catholics. Co-organiser of this workshop was 'Justice Coalition of Religious'.

D'Souza, the TISS faculty member, is a post holder-West India Regional Coordinator in this organisation.

In this conference, they invited Prasad Chacko, who is accused for left wing extremism and booked by the Gujarat government.

Not just one, there are multiple workshops for Catholic Sisters, Brothers, nuns and Priests organised by TISS and JCR.

Why are they teaching Church Hierarchy, CAA, NPR, NCR, Cancellation of FCRA, Attack on Institutions to Catholics?

Who from the TISS gave a permission for this?

Are we paying salaries to activists or professors? How is this acceptable?

No research papers but workshops for Catholic missionaries? Is this not a misuse of position?!

When Rahul Gandhi started the nonsense of wealth redistribution, freebies, and Jitni Abadi Utna Haq, Modi had three options:

1) To go fully socialist by offering more reservations and freebies, on the top of welfare measures for education and healthcare. But, for national interest, this wasn’t a good strategy to begin with. This option was ruled out hence.

2) To oppose these ideas ideologically. This was never possible in our discourse. Modi can’t quote Taleb and Hayek for common people.

Gujaratis taught a lesson to Aurangzeb over religious conversion with a boycott campaign.

The world's richest trader of that time led the campaign.

The story goes like this. The year was 1669. In Surat, Nuruddin Kazi forcibly converted two Hindus and one Jain to Islam. Radical Muslims helped him. It was Aurangzeb's policy too.

There is a hype that increasing rape cases are due to pornographic content.

- National politicians from the Congress and other parties visited the victim family.
- No national leader of BJP went to Rajasthan. (1/n) What about the compensation?

- Opposition demanded more and gave some compensation in Hathras. Yogi govt gave ₹25 lakh, govt job and flat.

- No serious pressure on the Rajasthan govt by the BJP. Gehlot is keeping mum.
