This woman’s continued employment is an affront to democracy, decency, pluralism and reality. Crafting communications from this perspective is stochastic terrorism.

This is wholly unacceptable and MUST be addressed.

This will not be ignored by the public.

No more hiding behind privacy to protect people who actively promote breaking the law and spread covid disinformation.

If your rhetoric is in support of known insurrectionist violence, you are an insurrectionist in waiting.

In these politically volatile times, we cannot support those with radical extremist views in positions that require public trust.

And the public health of Edmonton is compromised by allowing people with anti science and conspiratorial beliefs to lead communications strategies.

Who hired this woman and what are their beliefs. A communications lead works closely with top police leaders to craft narratives for public release. There is very little chance this person’s views were unknown by top police administration.

We need an inquiry to the Edmonton police force and the beliefs and attitudes being promoted internally.

Is this why unmasked protesters are permitted to protest with little law enforcement? Is this why non-compliant businesses receive a pass when they break covid orders?

It’s being revealed daily that law enforcement is suspected of some level of complicity in the US Capitol attack.

It would be foolish to believe there aren’t police officers who have fallen victim to Q’Anon disinformation. Obviously the communications lead has fallen victim.

People’s health’s and physical safety is at risk. Relying on a police force with an inconsistent record of covid order enforcement or questionable tacit approval for white supremacy and religious zealotry combined with conspiracy theory disinformation is untenable.

No citizen should have any doubt about the commitment law enforcement has to protecting the public and the public’s health.

Please address this issue immediately. Edmonton’s citizens DESERVE better than a non committal response to the continued employment of this person.

We deserve to know our police force isn’t compromised by anti democratic, insurrectionist friendly, conspiracy theory ridden kooks promoting anarchy and violence.

I don’t believe that’s too much to ask for the taxes we pay to support effective and responsive law enforcement.

In no way does this person’s beliefs or the internal secrecy provided to her create any confidence for Edmontonians. At all.

Is this the person that crafted the public update on the anti mask anti lockdown rally in Edmonton?

In what universe was this a respectable protest?

It doesn’t matter how well behaved white supremacists and Christian Nationalists demanding the release of a pastor who repeatedly ignored covid safety measures (for about 3 months) are.

That’s not respectful in any sense of the word.

Respect for the law and upholding law and order is respectful. These people are advocating citizens pick and choose the laws they believe are aligned with their ideology and ignore the rest.

Only someone who supports these extremist and radical motives could craft a public statement calling tiki torches and demands to remove all covid measures respectful.
