JFC people are gullible & easily gaslit into believing this is actually condemnation of the TWO public protests that took place this weekend.

It’s not. It’s a PR attempt to boost the image of premier persona non grata, and complete obfuscation of what these rallies were about.

The TWO rallies were on Saturday, during the day.

What kind of useless comms people take 48 hours to write a lame response? No announcement, just a written statement.

That’s a cop out by an unpopular politician who’s obviously checked what most are opining about the protests.

How many people are focussed on the tiki torches and completely ignore the religious overtones and extremism? The two bigoted views intersect in the TWO protests, not just one.

One protest was at the legislative grounds and downtown Edmonton.

One was at the Remand Centre in North Edmonton where a group of radicalized religious extremists were demanding the release of a recalcitrant and unrepentant pastor who is choosing to stay in jail rather than respect law and order.

And what about the over 600 radicalized Evangelical Christians who attended Grace Life Church on Sunday, while RCMP stood by, in protest of the Alberta public health orders that the church has openly flouted for 3 months.

Nada!

This is why we keep electing nightmare leaders in Alberta. One virtuous gesture to acknowledge white supremacy (while ignoring its Christian Nationalist origins and agenda) and all is forgiven.

Are people really this gullible? Honestly, I’m disgusted by the instant praise.

Kenney is a Christian Nationalist. The protests were organized and supported by Liberty Coalition. Two UCP MLAs are members of this coalition, along with several other con politicians across the nation. It’s a Christian Nationalist lobby group to remove covid restrictions.

Obviously well funded considering the slick website that’s been well planned out.

Restaurant lobby and Evangelical Christian lobby to remove covid orders, open restaurants, and keep churches full, regardless of the risks.

With the added belief by these protesters and supporters that secular government laws are optional for Dominionist Christians.

Did Kenney address these issues? No. But he mentioned racism. So that’s supposed to improve his image and conceal the real threat.

Hello people. John Carpay, Kenney’s decades long close friend, is suing the province to remove covid orders permanently.

Did Kenney address this? No.

Carpay will take this issue to the Supreme Court of Canada. Has Kenney even acknowledged this issue? No.

Meanwhile the insular evangelical Christian community is spreading false accusations of AB government sanctioned persecution of Christians. Christians from across the globe are registering grievances RE the CMOH, AB Justice of the Peace & Kenney. Is it addressed? Of course not!

This is all over Social Media.

Does anyone see this in MSM? No.

Kenney isn’t addressing a racism problem. He’s chalking up brownie points for actually mentioning the word racism while completely ignoring the actual issue.

Please allow me to describe how to judge the actions and rhetoric of a politician. Any politician. All politicians.

It’s assessment over time that is required. Not one example of what you expect or want to see.

Every politician lives their career in public view.

Meaning we all have plenty of opportunity and almost daily data to use to assess the whether reliability, integrity and values match what’s being verbalized.

When has Kenney ever been honest or shown himself to be trustworthy?

Other than reliably being the worst leader Alberta has ever had (and that includes Ernest Manning, Ralph Klein and Alison Redford), when has he demonstrated any concern for racist behaviour in the past? We’ve got 30 years of history to access for relevant examples.

The answer is never. Kenney left Omar Khadr in Guantanamo to be tortured as a child soldier, he promoted a “snitch on your immigrant neighbour” line. He sent Roma Hungarians back to Hungary into certain danger. He caged refugee children in Canada, long before Trump.

But he said the word racism today in relation to known white supremacist groups that have openly supported UCP and Kenney’s ideology and policy.

And some believe all should be forgiven or give him the benefit of the doubt? Are you kidding me?!? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤯

The people who have control of the Alberta government are deeply connected ideologically, religiously and socially to the groups of people who had two protests in Edmonton this weekend.

This isn’t an adequate response. It’s misdirection & Public Relations propaganda to improve Kenney’s dismal image and raise his approval rating.

And the public is still in the dark over the real issue.

Evangelical Christians, deeply indoctrinated in dangerous politically advantageous interpretations of biblical passages and the belief that true believers should have personal liberties unavailable to other citizens are demanding freedom FROM law and order they don’t like.

The last time a large group of evangelical Christians flouted law and order and declared the rights bestowed by a constitution optional was January 6, 2021 in Washington D.C.
