The reason why the Gandhis & their controllers want Narendra Modi out now & at the earliest is-
The longer he stays the more India gets accustomed to more.
And more is not what their Idea of India is all about.
After all, when in power they ran us with a crumb now & then, dribble here & there so that we remained perpetually wanting & grateful while they flew in & out of the country having enriched themselves exponentially.
Plucking a page from Dadi’s & Daddy’s old, faded albums these touristy picture postcards of sipping coconuts, joining in the local colour & dance sent from various parts of the country is what the siblings believe will overcome their disconnect with the challenges & aspirations
of an India that has moved way beyond what they ever envisaged for us.
So for now their attention, is dedicated to the young, easily impressed new voter & more so from missionary institutions, who are encouraged anyway to seek validation in culture & faith from elsewhere.
But as we have seen since 2014, the Indian voter no longer follows a set route chart.
It understands the power of its unpredictability & if you have nothing substantial to offer it enjoys reducing you to a dancing, jumping in the sea, pumping push-up Jack that frequents places
of worship as per levels of desperation.
And so one side we have -
Power ke liye hum kuch bhi karega (only no maths please & a vacation every 3 weeks)
On the other -
Vote dene ke liye hum tumko nachayega ....
Secret ballot hai. Election pe batayega.
Grandmother eliminated a cult leader that she herself had created but could no longer control.
In turn, his followers eliminated her.
The son took his revenge with a pogrom that killed thousands over 3 days.
Today, to relaunch his flaccid political career for the nth time the grandson supports a protest that is hijacked by that very same cult, who, on their path to attain their unattainable goal seem to have conveniently put aside the stench of burning tyres.
The end of this Faustian deal has already been written.
The tragedy is, that the two failed protagonists are unable to read.
So
Who will consume whom ?
Who live to tell the tale ?
When after 34 years Sajjan Kumar was sentenced to ‘the rest of his natural life’ in prison for his role in the ‘84 Sikh Pogrom he protested that it was all too sudden
'Have 6 Grandchildren, The Sentence Came All of a Sudden'
When the Lutyen squatters were asked to vacate their palatial bungalows which they had enjoyed for decades for services rendered to the Ancien Regime they felt annoyed & insulted because it was all too sudden.
When a bridge came up where little children, like their parents before them, crossed a river to attend school at great risk to life & limb, some people felt it was all too sudden for the boatmen to plan alternative employment.
I, of Indian stock, inured to unknown people dying or getting killed somewhere in this large country held the remote ready to switch off the television.
