Goal is to keep students at home school if possible.

Many schools will be able to offer 5 days of instruction with original teacher. Still have some schools with more requests than space. Will offer a hybrid schedule

Blythe: in process of sending placement packets to families who have confirmed they want to return. If want to chance preference can share that info during parent/teacher conference this week. Mandatory virtual orientation. #BoardWatch

Matthews: will bring back priority students at the secondary level. Goal is to return as many students as possible. These dates are a little behind state targets, need to return a full grade and MS/HS level (to meet funding requirement), still working on that. #BoardWatch

Question (Channel 5): as we enter back to school plan, how many students will actually be going back to school? Confirming interest now during parent conferences. Interest varies by site. Will have better numbers after this week at least 2K already confirmed. #BoardWatch

Question: can you please recap the dates? What is 3rd to 5th? MS/HS just priority? A: all info will be online, timeline is focusing on 2A PK, TK-2 on April 12, April 19 start to bring back 3-5 on rolling basis. Need to assess capacity based on how many choose to return PK-2.

A: secondary priority students are Mod-Severe SDC or County programs, homeless students, foster youth, newcomer students, those residing in public housing, and those with limited online engagement. #BoardWatch

Q: when will board vote on this? A: agreement came on Friday night too late for Tuesday, have a closed session on Thursday, will have an open session first and try to get this onto that agenda. March 11 meeting. #BoardWatch

Q: when will we have schedules? A: will be sharing more details online. Q: what testing protocols will be in place? A: finalizing testing provider: guidance has changed to include student testing (also in MOU), awaiting contract finalization. Frequency of testing varies by tier.

Q: when is last day of school? A: June 2. Q: How does this affect state funding. A: don't have a final answer at this time. #BoardWatch

Q: Parent looking at info on SF Gov data, confused about April 12 start date, only see one school that has met criteria. Which schools will open on April 12. A: several schools have already been cleared and many more are at final stages of readiness (Wave 2,3) DPH has been quick.
