Please pay attention to what Gandhi is saying.

That's the end of Vaishnavism.
Who are these "Hindu reformists"? you mean Brahmos and Arya samajis?

Sanatana Dharma may survive after this but Vaishnavism won't. Smiling face

Remember that Avatara Siddhanta is a corollary of Upanishdic Siddhanta that ब्रह्म is both, the instrument (Nimitta) as well as the material (Upadana) cause of creation.
You reject Avatara, you reject Veda. Gandhi does exactly that.

That is संतमत (hi.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E0%A4%B8…) and it's not considered part of Vedic (ie Sanatan Dharma).
Less said about their "reformist" label (created by Sekoolar-Savarna Commies sponsored by Nehru-Gandhi dynasty post-1947) the better.

Remember that Gandhi lemon was sold as Sanatani mango to the Hindu masses. Gandhi was never a Sanatani other than his mindless babbling which many of his ilks do today eg Kejriwal, Mamta, Pappu etc.

Probably Guru Nanak can be accepted as Nirguni Vedic Sant but the rest eg Kabir etc can't.

This review of a book on Hindu Astronomy (by a Gora) published in Nature magazine published in the year 1896.

Two things to note:
1) Astronomical data in Hindu texts contradicts AIT and it makes the book reviewer uncomfortable.

2) Hindus had a more accurate estimate of the rate of precession than Ptolemy but check any book on astronomy and its section on Precession, it simply ignores Hindu contribution (which IMO is original, Greeks borrowed from us) with proud mention of Hipparchus and Ptolemy.

पहले गाँवो में बियाह-कटवा होते थे जो लड़के या लड़की के बारे में कुछ झूठ लड़की या लड़के वाले को बताकर शादी कटवा देते थे। मेरे गाँव एक चाचा की बारात जब गयी तो वहाँ लड़की के घर वाले बिना द्वार-पूजा हुये ही दूल्हे को घर के अन्दर ले गये यह कहकर उनके यहाँ ऐसी ही परम्परा है।

उनको एक कमरे में ले जाकर बैठा दिया गया। फिर नाउन (नाई की स्त्री) आयी और उनका नाडा़ खोलने लगी। वो हड़बडा़ गये और बोले ये क्या कर रही हो? तब वो बोली की आप के बारे में खबर आयी है कि आपके पास बन्दूक नही है और आप हिजडे़ हैं। तो अगर आप जाँचने नहीं देंगे तो यह विवाह नहीं हो पायेगा☺️

In fact, it's exactly the opposite. Here superiority of Gyankanda (Upanishad) over Upasana Kanda and Karmakanda is being stated as a Siddhanta of Smarta-Sharuata parampara.
This isn't Smarta belief but must requirement for any Sampradaya to be a Vedic one.

What Tulsidas saying in that poem from Gitavali is very subtle and profound Vedic Siddhanta that one has to leave the means (in the form of Karma Kanda and Upasana Kanda) to realize the goal of Gyanakanda (Upanishads).

भगवान श्रीराम इतने सीधे और सरल हैं कि बार-बार परीक्षा देते रहते हैं। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ऐसा कभी नहीं करेंगे। ☺️
