2) This is the humanitarian crises that is unfolding in Brazil. The deaths are mounting with no end in sight as well. #P1 variant is just that brutal.
3) Fiocruz (Brazilian CDC): “the largest health and hospital collapse in the history of Brazil”. Almost 3K dead today. The southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul notified 502 dead, a massive new state record by a large margin.

I warned that many schools will end up buying ineffective crap air cleaners like ionizers (crap!) instead of things that work like HEPA filters & UV if no prioritization in school relief aid package.

Lo and behold - @smartrestartaps @HeidiNBC—my earlier sinking fears confirms.
2) We need good safe indoor air quality. Achieved via either natural ventilation (windows or HVAC) or via air cleaning via HEPA filters or UV disinfection (both CDC recommended).

Here is the latest CDC school air quality guiadance for #COVID19
3) So much JUNK air products out there. Beware.

➡️Those who shout “Look at the blood clots”—whenever it’s not even proven...

➡️Turn around & dismiss the proven vaccine benefits—

➡️And downplay #COVID19 risk with “oh it’s no big deal, I will be fine”—

➡️Usually ignore that 2.66 million people have died 🤷🏻‍♂️
2) And yes, 2.66 million have died from #COVID19 damnit. And it doesn’t even include the latest data from March yet due to reporting delays.

📍Variant “bypasses” PCR tests—French govt is warning of a new #SARSCoV2 variant that escapes detection by standard PCR tests. Because is it harder to detect, WHO has placed it in category of “variant under investigation” due to its bypassing PCR tests. 🧵

BREAKING—UK’s FDA (@MHRAgovuk) declares again that its assessment of the #AstraZeneca vaccine show there is no evidence blood clots are any more likely (compared to expected typical population).

2) Dr Phil Bryan, vaccines safety lead at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), said people "should still go and get their Covid-19 vaccine when asked to do so."
3) "We are closely reviewing reports but given the large number of doses administered, and the frequency at which blood clots can occur naturally, the evidence available does not suggest the vaccine is the cause."
