2) This is the humanitarian crises that is unfolding in Brazil. The deaths are mounting with no end in sight as well. #P1 variant is just that brutal.

11) there is also a reinfection risk of #P1 as well. It was 6.4% in study above but over 15% in another study.

This also makes sense—#P1 has the E484K bad mutations. Even the vaccines have reduce neutralization against #P1 too.

This is the strain that WE DO NOT WANT!!!
12) Another Brazil 🇧🇷 #COVID19 research group puts transmission at 2x faster than old strain (instead of 2.5x above), but they estimate a way worse whopping 25-60% reinfection rate!!

I’m honestly not sure which is better. Reinfection also really bad.

2) Hell yes there is a study just yesterday. And hell yes it was done in over 4,000,000 with 10 mil tests—basically everybody in Denmark! Like the entire country.

So hell yes it is the most comprehensive study in the whole world on #COVID19 reinfection.

3) The paper specifically says: “Through analysis of Danish population-level surveillance data with more than 10 million person-identifiable PCR test results in 2020, we estimated protective immunity to be approximately 80–83% in people younger than 65 years.”

BREAKING—White House plans to send 2.5 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca #covid19 vaccine to Mexico and 1.5 million to Canada. 30 mil doses sit in warehouses.

This comes just as US quietly pressing Mexico to curb migrants coming to the border. nytimes.com/2021/03/18/wor…
2) Tens of millions of doses of the vaccine have been sitting in American manufacturing sites. But while their use has already been authorized in dozens of countries, the vaccine has not yet been approved by American regulators. Hence the unused stockpile building.
3) The reason it has not been approved is that it had not be formally submitted to the FDA yet. AstraZeneca has focused on Europe more. US already has 3 approved vaccines.

2) International media is finally catching up on the reporting. It’s horrendous in Brazil. They need intl help. Even young adults are dying more.
3) the rest of the world cannot ignore the crisis in Brazil any longer. Brazil’s hospital system is being completely crushed. It needs international aid, or else #P1 will trigger another pandemic if it proliferates around the world—because it is even more contagious than 🇬🇧#B117.

Tragedy in a part of Brazil 🇧🇷—soaring #COVID19 hospitalizations and mortality one of the wealthiest states with the best hospitals (exceeding that of most in the US). Imagine the rest of Brazil.

2) No need to imagine... because here is the stark worrisome data. Hospitals are so overload that accessing ICU beds is now virtually impossible.
3) There is now sobering reports that more and more young adults are dying of #COVID19 in Brazil. I wouldn’t be surprised if forthcoming studies on #P1 variant shows it maybe also more severe.

I warned that many schools will end up buying ineffective crap air cleaners like ionizers (crap!) instead of things that work like HEPA filters & UV if no prioritization in school relief aid package.

Lo and behold - @smartrestartaps @HeidiNBC—my earlier sinking fears confirms.
2) We need good safe indoor air quality. Achieved via either natural ventilation (windows or HVAC) or via air cleaning via HEPA filters or UV disinfection (both CDC recommended).
