JCCF and the Crown Justice of the Peace/Prosecution have tentatively come to an agreement to release Mr. Coates from Remand.
Mr. Coates will plead guilty to significantly reduced charges and pay a $100 fine.
He will still be required to attend court for other charges in May.
The court case in May will apparently force the Province to reveal their scientific evidence proving covid is a deadly virus.
While JCCF and Mr. Coates accept covid is real, they refute the science that more than just the elderly and those with co-morbidities are impacted significantly enough to lockdown society.
For one, Alberta has not locked down since May 2020. Partial shutdowns of key industries are not a lock down. It’s a half asses response to a deadly disease.
This is JCCF and evangelicals attempting to prove the constitution of Canada is faulty.
The same constitution that gives the feds and provinces the ability to temporarily infringe on rights and freedoms for just cause. Threats to Public Health being one of those just causes.
The intent is to hammer at Dr. Hinshaw on the witness stand to prove that the test used to determine positive covid status is faulty, the statistics can’t be trusted and the personal experiences of Grace Life Church parishioners and the pastor are more relevant.
I watched the video attached. This is being presented as a success for the evangelical community.
One argument that led to the reduced charges was the fact that law enforcement has not consistently enforce public health orders.
So the poor commitment to enforcement is now being used to plea to lesser charges and reduce $100,000 fines to $100.
Failure to enforce orders at restaurants was specifically cited.
Weird that Restaurants Canada is one of the main backers of Liberty Coalition, the political lobby group set up to remove covid restrictions entirely.
Actually it’s not weird at all. This is the strategy of far right Christian (libertarian) minority across Canada.
What’s weird is the lack of response from the public that Christian Nationalists are being allowed to break public health orders with impunity while the police have decided these measures are not worth their effort to enforce.
Basically handing those who break the public health rules and laws tacit approval to continue to do so.
A well oiled machine.
Premier imposes insufficient measure to eliminate covid. The public gets frustrated with shut downs that restrict normal human interactions. Police refuse to enforce public health orders. Judiciary/Justice of the Peace refuses to hand out available consequences.
Successive waves of high infection have made restrictions a cyclical exercise. Giving libertarians fodder to complain about their freedoms and restricting everyone else from political engagement for fear of infection from the very libertarians flouting the orders.
Hmm. Does this sound like a set up?
John Carpay and Jason Kenney have been friends for decades. Kenney has long pandered to the Restaurant industry in designing restrictions. One of the first industries to have restrictions lifted in May 2020.
Inconsistencies, inadequate restrictions, livelihoods over lives. A captive powerless public stripped of the right to protest, disdain for seniors and those with co-morbidities.
I’m so tired of the obvious actions and agenda of Christian Nationalists.

O’Toole is harkening back to his military service as a populist tool to attract those with fears to vote for him. Same old tired strongman strategy. Let’s review.
Secure jobs. Well, mostly that’s already been done. When businesses can return to fully open, they can rehire their trained and experienced staff who received CERB to preserve their jobs & their connections to their employers.
Thanks LPC, PMJT & Finance Minister Bill Morneau.
Many will be able to return to their jobs that the federal government kept them tethered to so employers wouldn’t have to search for new staff. A time consuming and costly exercise.
Cons love taking credit for others efforts. It’s a mediocre man behaviour.
Befuddles the issue? Cost them support? What support? Industry and voting Creationists who believe god will solve any climate catastrophes.
Focus on pollution that’s tangible, like sewage and garbage. Why focus on invisible gases that will overheat the earth? What a waste of time and political capital.
You know, it would significantly increase accuracy to predict lone wolf stochastic terrorism if the FBI and IC incorporated Christian Nationalism more prominently in their calculations.
You can see there is extreme overlap in Christian Nationalist beliefs and ideological adherence with every group listed and every characteristic noted in your chart. With the exception of Antifa.
On a side note, Socialist Anarchists are left libertarian and have more in common with far right libertarians than Marxist socialists or left of centre progressives.
The murders of several Asian women yesterday can be traced to Evangelical ideology.
The man who perpetrated the crimes is the son of a youth pastor who was probably inundated with purity culture propaganda that warped his perception of his own sexuality and normal sexual urges.
However, the Atlanta police’s response to the crime is extremely dystopian in its apologetics and acceptance of this rationale as a valid excuse for the crimes committed.
Police are offering his religiously ideological rationale for him. Without criticism.
This is what’s meant by extremist evangelical Christians when religious freedom is cited as a human right.
They want the right to practice their faith without restrictions.
While these murders are too far, the beliefs underpinning them are not considered extreme by the police.
When you did, were you compelled to request a breakdown of where every penny donated ended up?
The idea is preposterous.
There are charitable organizations that affix plaques in cases of large donations.
Like the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. The Stollery’s donated a large sum and canvassed their wealthy friends and acquaintances to do the same.
Those donations were pooled to finish the project of building the hospital. But there were many other donors.
Many of their names were put on a wall beside a large photo of the Stollerys.
But I doubt the Stollerys or their co-donors asked for a detailed breakdown of where each diplomat donated was spent. Nor was there any attempt to list whose donations were used to purchase materials.
