The mendacity of the Conservative party knows no bounds.

Neither does the desire to pander to Christian Nationalists who belief in Creationism for voter support.

It’s all on display.

Befuddles the issue? Cost them support? What support? Industry and voting Creationists who believe god will solve any climate catastrophes.

Focus on pollution that’s tangible, like sewage and garbage. Why focus on invisible gases that will overheat the earth? What a waste of time and political capital.

If you can’t see it, it doesn’t exist.

Besides wind turbines could be the new cancer causing agent. Until lengthy studies are conducted proving wind turbines safe, we can’t expose our children to suspected carcinogens and noise. Exhaust fumes and GHGs are far safer in the interim.

O’Toole promises a plan that might bring GHGs down. It could. Then again, it could not. Who knows? Let’s take a gamble in the last 5 years before worldwide disaster and calamity. Why not?

And millennials are going to be tapped to develop that geo-engineering miracle that saves us all. Why do anything when modern science might find a way to clear GHG so we can continue to use fossil fuels and oligarchs can remain in power?

Conservatives are clinging to false hopes.

God will save us.

Scientific miracles cures will save us.

Don’t rush to solve an urgent existential problem for every living species.

Procrastinate and obfuscate. Obstruct reasonable solutions because it may mean loss of power.

There are legitimate reasons to study a problem closely to develop the most effective and financially efficient solution.

That was 40 years ago.

We have the data, we have the analysis. We have the solutions.

The only thing we lack is the political will of those in control of fossil fuel development.

The wealthiest and most powerful lobby group that wishes to remain in control. They’ve bought off the conservative zeitgeist until they can finagle control of green energy.

Or they are willing to kill off billions to remain in power and control and continue using fossil fuels.

Personally I think both options are on the table. Power is an addictive drug. For the last 200+ years these magnates have held a firm grip on every life on the planet.

It’s time for these robber barons to be put out to pasture and for humanity to escape the tight grip on our collective existence by men and women who consider us all human capital and unworthy of consideration when deciding the fate of every living creature on earth.

What exceptional hubris to believe they have the right to decide the fate of every living being, human or otherwise, because they control global energy distribution.

These plutocrats are the bane of all living creatures. It’s only fellow human beings that can stop them.

Every policy they prefer is to extend their control of life on this planet. To enrich themselves at the expense of all others. To reward those handsomely who complicity carry out their policy demands.

But most can’t comprehend the utter diabolical nature of those in power.

History records the actions of the powerful. Throughout history the most powerful have committed heinous crimes and inhuman cruelty to remain on top and keep power from the masses. A few may have been benevolent, but overall those with power have been disastrous for the commons.

The resources and technology exists to give every human being on earth opportunity to thrive. (Unfortunately some will not take up that opportunity no matter how inviting).

But plutocrats and oligarchs have hired conservatives to gaslight the commons with deception & trickery.

Promising salvation through faith or miracle cures for GHG emissions. All the while obfuscating the existential nature of climate change & obstructing every effort to address it realistically and pragmatically.

That effort will continue until we act or we succumb to climate change that destroys ecosystems to the point of mass starvation and natural climate caused disasters.

We have a government that has the framework of GHG emission control.

We have a mechanism and policy in place that will incentivize reduction in GHG emissions (carbon levies). We have much more work to resolve climate change challenges. Supporting green energy initiatives to get established is but one.

But conservatives are still debating whether the divine will intervene on our collective behalf. Or whether the young brilliant minds will develop a miracle cure in time to save some. (The plan does not include solutions to save all, only those worthy of salvation).

It’s the same regurgitated policies rebranded as conservatism.

Conservation of humanity, human civilization and biological diversity is not what conservatives seek. It’s conservation of the worst of humanity retaining control of the power to decide life and death in perpetuity.

Whether we give them the power to decide our individual and collective fate is up to us.

If anyone is to be sacrificed, I recommend that it be those who have the gall and hubris to believe themselves more worthy of existence than those who don’t ascribe to their ideology.

I’m more than happy to extend the option to share in solutions to preserve ALL lives possible. We are beyond solutions to preserve all life. Thanks to conservative obstructionism and populist rhetoric.

But if forced to choose who lives or who dies, perhaps those responsible for creating this situation should be the first to go. At the very least we owe it to ourselves and our children to remove these people from power permanently and remove any legitimacy they ever had.

A vote for conservatives is a vote for your own termination. That may sound incendiary and provocative, but it’s not. It is just the truth of the matter.

Proof is all around us. Conservative premiers can only act within their jurisdiction.

Every policy con premiers have implemented reinforces every accusation made.

Our choice is clear. ABC
