I've argued our Government shares more with USSR totalitarian "communists" than with anything in modern Conservatism (attached at end).

From state controls, to spending or resources, anyone can see that.

It begs questions.

Where are the real conservatives?
Are they a threat?
Just to recap a little for any new readers, since the start I've argued there was no big mastermind or master plan that led Conservatives to their "masterpiece", Populist #Brexit.

3 simple reasons

1. We saw the factions
2. We watched the seesaw
3. The endless inconsistency
In late 2016/2017 we tried to prove this objectively. We used press articles from Brexit, IndyRef, Quebec & Catalonia.

Brexit was unique in three areas:

Policy and terms were decided after referendum
There was no consensus for years
Multiple factions hijacked constantly 🔄🔁
There isn't just one Conservative faction, there are many.

A large block doesn't give a damn about, or actively rejects populist racism, massive state spend and personal freedom restrictions.

They're in it for business,

or simply

fnck Politics.

So when do they re-emerge?
Some believe there is a happy arrangement between these various factions, that they settled their differences in favour of the bigger win - #Brexit.

Maybe, though PR briefs and counter spend said otherwise in 2017 and then we had the spend like no tomorrow £800B #Covid19 thing
Someone out there is looking at the balance sheet.
Erm, let's see

Spiralling State costs
Massive trade pressures
Removal of China trade upside
No US opportunity
Border Control Chaos
Massive increase Bureaucracy
Reduced personal liberty

What the fnck are you doing Conservatives?
So regardless of compromise, for anyone in the free trade camp, the outlook is broken, trashed, burned, incinerated.

Some claim this also is the 'sell off' masterplan, but introduce as many factions as you wish. No one looks at the list above and sees Conservative glory.
By making the false argument that Brexit is done (vs just beginning), Killer Jo and gang have created an opportunity for us all to ask for where we get help in our time of crisis.

#Brexit

Where's the upside?
When do we get the cash?
How is it helping?
SHOW US THE MONEY!
Jo and his bunch of clowns are incapable of answering those questions.

And that leaves them vulnerable to Free Marketeers. Maybe more quickly than any left resurgence.

Will the FMs be any better?

No idea, but at least bigotry and bias won't be their most important priority.
The original satirical look at our new communists.
Yes satire but every point factual.

Dean, avid listener to your show on Fridays, but never thought I'd need to write in. Then a blooming insurance claim (sorry not work from home).

As you always say, they're trying to wriggle out!

But the problem is the scam.
We need hot water, and they know it
We claim for a boiler replacement - rejected.
But they're using a bogus renewals argument to reapply an initial no claims period.
That's a first policy first term clause.
Otherwise we're not in contravention, there's no misrepresentation.
We should win

I mentioned a scam...
So while we're dealing with faux claim denial, the dog has become the best smelling member of the household.
Quite seriously - no one wants to live without hot water.
Showers aside it's still blooming cold.

So, dig into savings, buy the boiler now. Collect claim

In the dark corners of the nasty end of the large colon of academia, there is a theory.

Fascism will be achieved by...?

The theory argues that "normal" hate monger theorists are wrong. Major pushes create generational counter-reactions that eventually undo them.

So instead?
This may feel like a tangent. It's relevant.

How do you boil a frog?

The answer is NOT to put the frog into boiling water.

It will immediately jump out.

Put the frog in cold water and very slowly heat the water?

The poor frog won't notice until it's too late. Boiled alive
So it is for this fascism theory.

Don't make big changes. People will be alerted and "jump out". You'll end up defeating yourself

Make small changes. Slowly. Changes that alone seem almost minor, not large enough to oppose or reverse

Such as?

How about the right to protest?

Priti's latest dalliance into badly constructed legislation, the

"Statues have feelings too Act"

is notable for all the obvious reasons below.

But I'd like to point out some lesser-known facts.

Since 1851 we've had ~ 30 criminal justice acts (add data crimes etc.)

...cont
Uk average age is 40.1 years.
Of the 30, 23 have been within most lifetimes.

Off the 23, 15 have been introduced by Priti and her ilk. That's 65%.

Take out "genuine modernisation" like data and internet legislation; it's 90%.

Remove money laundering; it's 100% Priti and Pals.
To a good approximation Priti isn't tough on crime so much as tough on wood pulp.

Let's be fair. There is context.
On the one hand she's prioritising statues over women while her PM is investing in Nukes.

On the other hand, all this aggression must be having a result.

Dominic Raaaab.
Unique among foreign secretaries in ignorance and stupidity.

#Raab yesterday, while defending an indefensible bill which hands statue damage a longer sentence than rape...in the NEXT SENTENCE, undermined everything Churchill stood for after the war.

How? Why?
This was Churchill in 1948, after the war talking of what was needed to ensure the evil could never happen again

“In the centre of our movement stands the idea of a Charter of Human Rights, guarded by freedom and sustained by law.”

The European Convention on human rights ECHR
And this is Raab yesterday, straight after he was:
tough on Statue Criminals,
tough on the causes of idle statue damage.

" If we restrict trade to countries with ECHR-level human rights we're not going to do many trade deals with the growth makets of the future. "

For those of you looking for insight as to how the heck the Tories are ahead, it comes down to:

1. Short memories
2. Good spin
3. Ignorance of their crimes.

Explanation follows.

SHORT MEMORIES
Not just in the attached, or in other polls but also in general...recency effect /1
We, humans, are great at recognising what someone did recently and great at forgetting the past. Tories are riding on the back of vaccines (ironically, where they got out of the way and didn't repeat past disasters).

2. Spin.
Vaccines, budget and Brexit, only 1 is good news.
/2
But you wouldn't know it from the press and spin Meister's, and as usual, people are not engaged enough to see the truth.

When you look at this list ⬇️ which isn't even comprehensive, this Mafia of a Government is objectively the worst in history

1/ If we don't resist authoritarianism now, when will we, asks the radio?

Here are 5 times we did & the media were absent, complicit:

1. Conservative manifesto.
2. Covid19 enabling act
3. Legalise bribery act
4. licence to kill act
5. Corporate Manslaughter switch

Sources⏬
2/ 1. Conservative Manifesto
Ironically if anyone should have been screaming about this sordid document, it should have been the libertarian right.
They were silent. Look at the small print.

3/ 2. The Enabling Act
The unbelievable powers written into the original #covid19 emergency powers act
