Interestingly, SARS-CoV-2 has now reached the stage of "mutational saturation", as indicated by identical mutations in the British and Sout-African and other variants. It also started to lose genes. A question to be asked is:
"Did the measurements, lockdowns, vaccination, etc, speed up the process of natural saturation?"
