CBT is ‘evidence-based’: but for whom? Does it account for neurodivergents’ sensory processing differences affecting every level of psychological, social, and mental functioning? No. There are many neurodivergent people struggling with their mental health and they aren’t (3)

necessarily helped (if so, in a limited manner) by traditional ‘evidence-based’ practices. We deserve better than to be gaslit and deemed ‘non-compliant’ or ‘treatment resistant’ because of the inadequate and outdated nature of current modalities. Neurodivergence needs to be (4)

included in clinical trials assessing the ‘evidence-based’ nature of therapies. The failure isn’t on us. (5)
