1. Trad and Raitha terms are recent ones. And we are creating further divide in Hindus. Varna is one of the aspect of Hinduism and hinduism is way more than that with different types of aspects of spirituality.
2. But varna concept also can not be ignored as academia, media, various sects talks about it.

Brahmins or Traditionalists gave their lives to safeguard dharma. They built so much literature and scientific concepts.

And same with other varnas also.
3. The problem is saying my sect and guru is only true and others are false etc. Regarding varna there are many theories from history and our texts.

As per many vedic scholars there is a verse in rigved that from one family one is vaishya and another from other varna.
4. So in start there is only one varna an later devoloped to four. Puranas mentioned about this.

Varna can be birth in most of times in earlier yugas but there is enough examples that one varna is changed.
5. Varna is not merely a profession but swabhava, rituals and customs also one has to follow.

So in some cases we can see people following different profession but still be in same varna. Poet molla became an intellectual but still followed own jati customs.

6. Great acharya potana who wrote bhagavatam in Telugu did normal shudra job and not followed brahmin type of job so that he could focus on his writing.

So there is flexibility and same times in few time periods jathi discrimination occurred
7. Saying everyone as riata is not correct. I will give many acharyas who rejected completly birth based varna but who supported by conduct and actions varna is to be selected.

Again birth can be a factor especially in this era more than birth other factors are important.
8.krishna said that by guna and karma varna is decided. This statement is again as various commentaries. Some say karma is present actions while some say karma is prarabdha.

If we take varn as soul quality only this statement makes more sense for this era as aurobindo said.
9. Guna comes from mental imprints and can be changed in this life

varna as soul classification more than birth for this era works like a person wanted to be in army then he may be born with same soul classification as Kshatriya in traditional kshatriya family or non kshatriya
10. Swami shivananda of divine life society who wrote great books clearly said Varna is by conduct and not by birth.

11. Aurobindo take on varna is more with soul classification. A person can be born into a family because of his past karma with family.

13. Yogananda ji also opinied same. One can reject Yogananda view on christianity but he was a great soul.

He also said varna is by soul quality and not related to birth.
14. Swami chidananda ji also said varna is never hereditary. Caste by birth came in middle but never a rule in ancient days also

15. P v kane who wrote detailed books on dharma shahstras said definitely birth as one criteria but more than birth ones professional inclination and conduct is to be taken. He said krishna not used janma instead used guna karma. Guna , karma can influence janma but not final. Image
16. Mahabharat version like kmg and other authentic scriptures clearly says one conduct and talent is to be taken for varna. Especially for this era.

17. Madvacharya in his gita commentary clearly said varna can be by birth but one has to refer their talent and action. If shudra displays the traits of brahmana then he has to consider one.

Now dont say no shudra can display those traists etc as history is full of them
18. Most of Gaudigya acharayas also completely shun birth by varna concept.

Rajiv Malhotra who wrote brilliant works on Hinduism said varna is by karma means one conduct and talent.
19. If people are saying varna by birth only and in this life one cannot change etc but texts an traditional acharyas says different.

Especially in this era one cannot classify who is shudra or brahmana. Indian constitution defines it but thats another issue.

But still dharamraj himself says he cannot decide a person varna whom we are? Only gurus can decide or one hastto check by self enquiry for this modern era
20. Varna by birth only and one cannot change in this life is little problamatic. Shastra clearly say

Birth can be one criteria and one can change their varna.

Another view is varna by talent and swabhava irrespective of their family. Read yourself.

1. Thread on varna and caste in Hinduism.

This is more complex subject. Afrer reading different opinions I am saying varna is not by birth. But at same time there in few cases there is a chance that one may be born in particular varna.

2. Gita clearly says Varna is based on guna and karma. Means conduct, charecter and action. Karma can be prarabdha past karma or kriya karma present action.

Gunas can be influenced to an extent by previous vasanas. Vasana means brain imprints.
3. So one may be born in particular varna due to their vasana. Like in previous birth irrespective of varna he led satvik means pure life then present birth he may be born as brahmin. But this is only one criteria among thousands. That doesn't mean he will be satvik in present.

1. Recent #Netflix movie and the online hate on #Krishna shows other religions people don't have a clue and their hate is so strong. Let's talk about the great god Krishna.

#Vedas talk about one supream god parabrhaman. Who is that being ?
2. Every Sect say different things but same time same thing. Sects like advaita,shudd #Advaita, vishist advaita etc say Only one supream being manifested as multiple beings.
Sects like dwaita, Kashmiri saviaim says one suprem god and he or she created other gods with his amsha.
3. Vishnu is considered parabrhaman by many sects and vedas also says one of form of supreme being is parabrahman. Krishna is Avatar of him. Krishna Avatar has many things to achieve like ending Dwapara yuga, giving knowledge for future yugas like #Gita, setting political kingdom
