There is something very poignant about the end of Bhagwan Krishna on this earth. The complete destruction of his clan and the submergence of Dwaraka. And his fatalistic acceptance of the fact that it was time for him to move on. The man, or God who was singularly
Responsible for charting the course of events in Bharatavarsha for over 80 years. His death at the hands of a hunter. The true Karmayogi, passing away into the ages, alone. Brings to mind those immortal words of Kannadasan...

If even the greats have to go it alone, what can us mere mortals look forward to?

It always brings a lump to my throat. The thought of an aged Krishna Vasudeva, reclining alone in the forest ...

Jai Shree Krishna ♥️🙏
"I am in you as you. There is not a place in this world where I am not. People think of me as a physical body and they do not really know my nature. Body is made up of these eight aspect ins: earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intellect and ego. Image
I am the ninth ..beyond all this.I am all pervading.Though I am in the body, I am not the body. Though I am working through the mind, I am not the mind. I am much more than what u perceive I am present in ur heart as u and anytime u need me, I am there. u can always count on me"
Krishna means that *which* is attractive. The very core of ur Being is such, the bliss and joy of the Self is like that. It just draws everything. The symbolism in Krishna's birth is beautiful.Devaki as the body and Vasudev as prana or breath came together to bring forth Krishna

5 things to do to celebrate Janmasthami

[A Thread] 👇
1. Pray in Brahma Muhurata
Brahma Muhurta is the morning period between 3.30 a.m. and 5.30 a.m.

You can chant Krishna's name during this period to purify your mind and surroundings and have a refreshing start to the day.
2. Fast until midnight
Fasting is an important component of celebrating Janmashtami. If possible, begin fasting at dawn and refrain from eating until midnight.

If fasting till midnight feels too much of a burden, you can consume water, fruits, and milk.

Priya Kund is located in Barsana, also known as Peeli Pokhar (yellowish pond).

According to the legends, once Radharani along with other Gopis went to Nandgaon. There she met Yashoda, foster mother of Lord Krishna.
She was so influenced by Radha's exquisite beauty and cultured behavior that she desired Radha to become her daughter-in-law. Deeply lost in her thoughts, Yashoda Ji applied some turmeric paste onto the hands of Radharani.
According to the rituals, turmeric paste is usually applied by the mother-in-law to her would-be daughter-in-law. When she returned to her father’s house in Barsana, she got embarrassed after observing her yellow hands.

The ancient city of #Dwarka is known in #Sanatan culture to have been the great and beautiful city of Krishna. The Hindu writings say that when Krishna left the Earth to join the spiritual world, the age of Kali began and Dwarka and its inhabitants were submerged by the sea.
The tales of the submersion can also evoke a tsunami like the one that struck India in 2004.
The modern Dwarka is today one of the seven sacred towns of #Hinduism, visited each year by pilgrims worshiping #Krishna.
The search for its submerged part began in the 1930s, and the first archaeological excavation took place in 1963. Numerous ancient artefacts were found, as well as the submerged remains of the ancient Dwarka during the next excavation led by an underwater archaeologist.
