7 Parenting Lessons I Reverse-engineered From How My Parents Raised Me.

#4 still boggles on why it worked so well.

Thread
1. Never criticize your children in front of their friends

I remember a friend's mother telling him in front of me: "Why don't act more like José?"

* awkward silence *

She then kept talking badly about her son.

Never do this.
2. Use the right wording – it'll change everything.

Instead of saying:

Don't do that >>> Try doing this instead.

Don't say that >>> Here's a different way of saying it.

You're stupid? >>> What did you expect to happen?

How ONE compliment changed my self-perception forever.

And why you should always praise who deserves it.

For years, I struggled to speak English in front of others.

This fear was also reflected in my writing.

I was ashamed of my lack of English fluency both in writing and speaking.

That's why I wrote my content in Spanish and used Google Translate to get the English right.
At first, Tweeting my ideas in English made me nervous.

I became too self-aware of my lack of skill.

So writing in English made this feeling double worse.

When my wife and I got married in 2012, I told her, "Brenda, I took you out of your castle to live under a rock. I will find a way to build ourselves a castle that we can fill with children and good memories."

But I failed to keep my promise.

My wife's family is well off economically.

Her dad is the Executive Manager of a very important company owned by the richest man in the Dominican Republic.

Her mom is a Dentist...

...and you know what they say about dentists.
When Brenda and I were dating, she used to pick me up in her big Totoya SVU.

Meanwhile, I used public transportation to visit her.

On occasion, he would walk home and arrive drenched in sweat.

(At least I know she married me for my fantastic Latino looks and not my money)

How a broke family man built a multi-six-figure business writing tweets from a Spanish-speaking third country using Google Translate to get the English right.

A thread on how ONE tweet changed my life.
"One last try,” I said to myself in October 2018.

It was the last time I would try to make money online.

By the end of that month, I had made $4K+ using Twitter.

Fast-forward to 2019.

I had already turned Twitter into 6-figure biz.

But how?
I'm just a regular dude.

I don't have any special powers.

For years, I tried to make money online.

I gave up many times.

Until I finally cracked the code.

Heres' what I did.
