India is now the centre of the global pandemic.

The country is battling a huge surge in #coronavirus cases and hospitals are on the brink because of a shortage of oxygen

Doctors in India have been reduced to begging for help on social media, asking people to help boost the low oxygen supplies.

People were dying on the pavement outside one of the biggest hospitals in Delhi.

This year the #Oscars significantly expanded its voting body, inviting more than 800 new members.

Based the 2021 nominations this seems to have made a real difference to diversity.

We have analysed 92 years of the winners in the main categories - here's how the stats add up 👇
Our analysis shows that Oscar-winning actresses are on average nine years younger than their male counterparts.

The average male winner is 46, the average female winner is 37
For every woman who has won an award for screenwriting, there are 12 male winners.

And in 92 years of Academy Awards winners there has only ever been one woman to win the award for best director – Kathryn Bigelow, for The Hurt Locker, in 2010
