OTD in 1920 USSR signed Treaty of of Moscow with Georgia, recognizing their independence. We invaded them 9 months later.

Part of pattern.
It was cos we didn't like their government so we decided to install one we did like, as part of us never interfering in other's internal affairs.
We genuinely pretend we have no idea why cos we think a secure international border requires Russian troops on both sides it leads our neighbors wanting to join NATO. Total fucking mystery.

But the US Invaded Iraq in 2003 so this means our 1921 invasion isn't wrong.

OTD in 1939 Stalin signed the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact with the Nazis.
It totally did not have a secret clause that divided Europe into imperialist spheres & we definitely did not invade anyone in accordance with it in coordination with Nazi Germany.
Non aggression pacts were all the rage, we just preferred one with Nazi Germany to the one we already had with Poland. Ours was the only one that def didn't have a secret clause. ;)
To continue the secret clause fashion, about a year later we signed *another* treaty with that Nazis with *another* secret clause that was absolutely not absolutely not about being allies:

OTD in 2015 the Russian Air force began bombing anyone but ISIS in Syria with aircraft we had denied we were even sending
A year later we said the mission was accomplished and we were leaving. Although we are still bombing & creating refugees for you & we have since said we've left a further 2 times.

We have not left.
Our bombs do not kill any civilians at all. None.

For some reason @MSF stopped sharing the locations of their hospitals with us although they still tell the imperialists where they are.

OTD in 1939 the German–Soviet victory parade took place in Brest-Litovsk. Together we celebrated liberating Poland from the Poles as allies.
Today we justify this alliance, protest when monuments to the occupiers are removed & complain the victims want to join NATO. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
We protected the Poles from the Nazis by killing thousands of Poles in such a systematic way we had to veto UN's 1st definition of genocide. We blamed these crimes on the Nazis. We lied.
