#WhatsApp myths about #India's slow sputtering #Covid #Vaccination program. Let's bust them one by one.

Secondly, similar widespread criticism of AZ trials did not affect Britain's rollout of the vaccine, did it. The difference was Britain had a truly independent regulator.

3. One WhatsApp post attributed to a fellow who had gone to IIT (wow, I'm genuflecting already!!) suggested that the early vaccine hesitancy led to "several million doses" being wasted. really?

A. What about the 65 million doses that were flown out of India? Trumpeted as #VaccineMaitri to great fanfare 🥁🎺to provide photo-ops for PM and Health Minister.

End of rant. This is not against India's efforts to deal with the #SecondWave of #coronavirus. This is a rant against the crude scurrilous attempts by the propaganda cell of the BJP to distance Modi by making it everybody's fault but his.

Meanwhile here are the facts:
As of 11 May 2021, India has given 175.2 Million doses, inc. 3 million to those under 44 (phase3).
38.5 million Indians have had 2 doses.
#vaccination offers the only way out in the med -long term.
But India did not use its lockdowns well.
