So because Trump's lies about the election have torn at the faith in the foundation of our Republic, I've made it my business to debunk his silly lies. Because he won't stop lying, I won't stop highlighting different aspects of the fact that he lies and that he lost.

And so ...
There are 10 states in which Trump got the lowest margins of any Republican Presidential candidate since at least the 2000 election. Meaning, he either won by the barest margin of any Republican. Or he lost worse than any Republican in that time period.
3 of these 10 states are states that Trump won in spite of the fact that he won them by slimmer margins than any other Republican in a good long time. 7 of them are blue states. Including states that he contested were supposedly "rigged."

So look at these graphs.
States that Trump won in 2020 but in which he won by the slimmest margin of any Republican since your cell phone was the size of your laptop ...

Alaska. Trump won Alaska in 2020. But the last time a Republican won it by a smaller margin was back in 1992.
Kansas

Trump won Kansas in 2020. But the last time a Republican won Kansas by a slimmer margin than Trump won it last year was back in 1992. One county in Kansas, Riley County, went blue for the first time in its entire existence last November.
Texas

Trump won Texas by the barest margin since Bob Dole in the 1996 election.
Now for the states that Trump lost worse than any Republican in a while. In some cases, a long, long while ...

Arizona

Trump was the first Republican to lose Arizona since the 1996 election. No bamboo was discovered during the researching of this fact.
Colorado

Colorado USED to be a solidly red state not that long ago. It's stayed blue since the 2008 election. And Trump lost the state worse than any Republican since Barry Goldwater in 1964.
Georgia

Trump raised a fit (and most likely committed a crime by asking Secretary of State Raffensperger to "find" votes) about Georgia. He was the first Republican to lose the state since the 1992 Election. But it's clearly not just Georgia that is the problem for him.
Maryland

Maryland has been solid blue since the 1992 election. But still, this is ridiculous. Trump did worse in Maryland than any Republican Presidential candidate since the 1868 election. No typo. EIGHTEEN sixty-eight. People talked about Lincoln then like "yeah, I met him."
Massachusetts

Trump lost MA by a larger margin than any Republican since Goldwater in 1964. Now people in Mass might have disliked the Bushes. But NOTHING like as much as they grew to dislike Trump.
Virginia

Former solidly red state which went blue in 2008 and never flipped red again. You have to go all the way back to 1942 to find a Republican who lost Virginia worse than Trump did in 2020.

Irony: Trump hadn't even been born yet.

Currently, there are 50 Republican Senators and 50 Senators who caucus with the Democrats.

But the 50 Democratic Senators currently represent 41.5 million more people than the 50 Republican Senators do.

It's just the way it is. Image
Every state, regardless how large or small, is represented by two US Senators in the US Senate. This was constructed as a means of ensuring that every state has equal rights and representation in the Senate regardless of the number of people living in the state.
So every state is on a level playing field in the US Senate. All states are equally important. As our founders intended. Population ensures more representation in the US House of Representatives. The Senate ensures equality between the states.

I have a HUGE problem with the Democratic Party's position on abortion. Anyone who has followed me for any length of time knows that.

That said and known, you also know that I study data. And I found something that surprised me that I'm going to dig into more deeply.
If you look at the CDC reports, the # of abortions reported to the CDC went down every year under Obama's tenure.
cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/6…

2018: 619,591
2017: 612,719
2016: 623,471
2015: 638,169
2014: 652,639
2013: 664,435
2012: 699,202
2011: 730,322
2010: 765,651
2009 - 789,217
Look it up yourself. Also, you can cross-check the beginning years of this period against a separate CDC report:
cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/m…

This surprised me. And so I started to look back even further.

Washington

And finally, Washington State. Trump lost Washington by a larger margin than any Republican Presidential candidate since 1964.
So we've only got 50 states. And Trump performed worse in 10 of them than any Republican Presidential Nominee since before most of this years' high school graduates were even born.
Trump did worse in 2 of them than any Republican since the 1996 election, which was a race that involved a major third party candidate.

He did worse in another of them than any GOP candidate since the 1992 election, which also involved the same major third party candidate.

It's hard for me to explain the degree to which the voter suppression efforts and the attempts to overturn the 2020 Election anger me.

Yet I am never going to invade the Capitol, threaten "Civil War" or harm anyone or anything. See how that works, January 6th insurrectionists?
What I am going to do is to do my best to combat lies with verifiable data. To use my First Amendment rights as an American citizen to bring attention to injustices and provide data that anybody can check to support the point I'm trying to make.
And when things are being done that violate God's Law or US Constitutional Law, I'm going to bring up the appropriate references (the Bible, the Constitution and Federal and State Law) to show that they are being violated.

@stephen_richer Ah, the mysteries of why Trump lost Arizona. I just can’t figure it out. I wonder if I need to call “Cyber Ninjas” in order to unravel this deep and profound question that is beyond our grasp.

Tomorrow’s question to ponder: my quarterback threw 7 interceptions. Why did we lose? ImageImageImageImage
@stephen_richer In addition, since Trump was elected in 2016, the Arizona GOP has lost:

2 US Senate seats
1 US House seat
AZ Secretary of State’s race
1 AZ State Senate seat
4 AZ State House seats
@stephen_richer And in that time, since 2016, the number of registered Republicans in Arizona has increased by 21.7%.

And the number of registered Dems in Arizona has increased by 26.3%.

The number of registered Dems in AZ in 2020 was 91.4% of registered Republicans.

It’s GOTTA be the bamboo!

The more whiny Trump cries, whines and lies about the election, the more I’ll show research that shows that he lost and exactly why he lost.

Note to Trump supporters asking “why do you keep bringing him up?” Easy answer: he won’t shut his lying pie hole.

This is HOW he lost.
And this is HOW he lost.

He lost a lot of the white voters, college educated voters and independents who supported him in 2016.
In 2016, Donald Trump won Independents in every one of the six states that he flipped from blue to red.

In 2020, Donald Trump lost Independents in every one of the five states that Joe Biden flipped from red to blue.
