Okay, here is the thing...there is a backlog of games that have been sent to my #MagicPorch, and I don't want to get behind so I am going to do some shorter ones once in a while to catch up for #TableTopGails!
Okay, first, the lovely folks at @wizkidsgames sent these gorgeous painted Pathfinder minis...I enjoy painting minis but I stink at it and am very slow. So we love these PATHFINDER BATTLES minis...look how purty!

Look at some close-ups here...beautiful sculpts and amazing paintings.
All these minis come out in June, and can be ordered at shop.WizKids.com.

Close up of some of the PATHFINDER BATTLES minis...I want to play ‘em!

Next we have the much anticipated next wave of D&D ICONS OF THE REALMS, wave 6.
I can’t believe how much pre-painted minis have improved over the past few years. These are stunning, in foil boxes. Wow. Look! Also f4om @wizkidsgames!
Next is something really entertaining, we can’t stop playing it. Despite winning awards, I think it has been flying under the radar. It’s called @therankgame, and for just a fun, quick game that will make you laugh out loud every time, I can’t recommend it enough.

The publisher, @ChipBrown, says that he created the game to foster communication, and I can definitely see it used in schools, but we have had a blast playing just the two of us. The idea is simple and the content is wholesome and fun. Lots of expansions!

One person takes a card with four related items, and Ryan’s them from best to worst, everyone else guesses what the RANKER chose.
It’s so simple, you can be playing in under a minute, but somehow, it’s just hysterically funny.

I put a few examples of the cards in the previous tweet...try it with a friend, you will be amazed at how wrong your assumptions can be!
We love it...and again, it’s wholesome, even the ‘risqué’ deck is pretty PG at best. :)
Okay, last, and SO COOL, is this deckbuilding game from @PlayRenegade, POWER RANGERS, THE DECKBUILDING GAME.
I’ve spoken about the excellence of their PR stuff.. I mean, gorgeous design and artwork. This is brand new...

I don’t think it’s even out yet, I believe pre-orders are just getting theirs now, maybe?
It looks fantastic.
I have never played a deck-building game, but this will get me started.

Okay, as I say every time, I am a newcomer to the TTG hobby. Some people welcomed me in and it did wonders for my family’s mental health.
I do not get paid to do this, I have turned down every offer of monetization. I am doing it because I think others could also benefit.

So I urge you, if you can to take a look through #TabletopGails, see if you find a game that looks fun, and grab it. Lots of libraries have games to lend, and their are second-hand sellers all over the place. It might bring you some joy!

I worked with three massive video game franchises in the past couple years where women working on them each individually told me their bosses were shocked and unprepared for the number of women and girls buying their games. Some expressed disbelief rather than delight.
When Disney Infinity and Lego Dimensions launched, it was believed at the corporate level boys would be turned off if the starter sets included female characters. Lego fought to include one, Disney zero.
(The sole female starter character was Wyldstyle).
This continued during the run of both games (and I stress, I loved these games, two of my all-time favorites), despite the actual developers fighting to include more female characters, which led to weird decisions like Lone Ranger getting more in-game content than Frozen.
Now, I am a sloooooow critter and have not made it this far in the podcast eps so I don’t know most of these, but MAN, the imagination and craftsmanship is impressive. They’re gorgeous.
The Peninsula O’ Games has become a small Continent O’ Games!

Okay, now, I have played NONE of these games yet, so if you worked on them, or published them, or have PLAYED them, please jump into the conversation, okay? Would love to hear from you!
