Thread: (1/4) P Mohan Aditya, a third-year mechanical engineering student from SRM University, has bagged a copyright for innovating a biodegradable face shield that costs just Rs 15 and is adjustable!
(2/4) The face shield 2.0 comes with a transparent visor made of a thin layer of 175-micron reusable plastic and a highly durable headband made from 3 ply corrugated cardboard. The cardboard’s bursting strength is 16 kg/sq.cm, which is quite durable yet lightweight.
(3/4) Due to the use of biodegradable materials, the face shield 2.0 is priced at an affordable cost of ₹15 and it comes with an elastic band adjustable for all head sizes.
(4/4) Aditya had filed an application on the face shield design under the IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) with Indian Patent Office in Kolkata in May last year and was granted the copyright this year.

When pharmacist Shyam Kumar realized Jharkhand's Gumla Sadar Hospital realised that the hospital was having issues with providing oxygen to the patients (despite having adequate oxygen supply)

due to a shortage of flow meters, he devised a brilliant jugaad to solve the bottleneck.
On investigating, Kumar found out that the main problem was the unavailability of the measuring bottles used in the flow meters.

(3/4) For his parents, who have only studied till Class 6, and are scrap-dealers, this was an unimaginable feat.

As for Alam, he says that 10 years in service in the police department will serve him well going ahead.
