Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga admitted today that the whole process of providing #Taiwan with AZ #COVID19 vaccine has entered the final stage, according to NHK.
Additionally, Japan's Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi told the parliament that Japan is working towards the goal of providing #Taiwan the AZ vaccines this month because their understanding is that Taiwan is in urgent need of vaccines this month.
Motegi emphasized during the parliamentary session that since #Taiwan is one of the first countries to donate to Japan during the Fukushima disaster, if Taiwan is facing some troubles, Japan should offer the necessary help. rti.org.tw/news/view/id/2…

The report said the Japanese government wants to take a route that's outside of the regular international framework and take an active role in facilitating the donation of AZ #COVID19 vaccines to #Taiwan within a short time.
The report suggests that the Japanese government originally wants to donate the vaccines to #Taiwan through COVAX, but that will take a much longer time for the vaccines to reach #Taiwan.

Breaking: #Taiwan reported 585 #COVID19 cases in total, 364 new local cases and 219 backlogged cases and 2 imported cases.
The backlogged cases have increased once again and Chen said some are already in the hospital, some are already in quarantine but some still need to be handled.
Chen said it seems like there is another climax and he said there are a few signs that the current outbreak is concerning.
