Limits of bipartisanship: Senate Report blames Capitol police for Capitol attack.

To get GOP buy-in, report omits Trump's role, election lies, even word "insurrection."

Bipartisanship w/ GOP—who bury basic truths, keeping lies & danger alive—feels like appeasing terrorists.

The best bipartisanship w/ GOP gets today: 1/2 truths & blaming those who saved their lives.

@mkraju McConnell had the audacity to call it "slanted & unbalanced." The Jan.6 Commission— negotiated by top D & top R on DHS Cmte—has 10 independent people—5 appointed by Rs, 5 by Ds. The definition of balanced & unslanted.

GOP can't survive w/o lies. And America can't survive w/them.
