How to Earn Income

Build your Income Empire Following These Trusted Methods

(Thread)👇🏽
•Active vs Passive Income

In this thread,
we’ll be looking at ways to build a Passive Income Empire.
Dubbed PIE
#pie

First, we need to understand the differences:

-Active income:
Trading time for money

-Passive income:
Money earned that requires little effort to maintain
•Stocks

Dividends,baby!!

I see you PIE lovers sharing your screenshots when they arrive👏

Dividends are the most predictable. Companies pay them out from profits. If they use debt to pay dividends, then, I have 3 words for you; RUN, RUN, RUN

Capital - Dividends - Growth
•Affiliate Marketing

Target a niche, build an audience, direct traffic to 3rd party’s site.

Earn comms without even owning a product. A finder’s fee on the internet.

Fiverr has an affiliate program where you can advertise other people’s services. 👇🏽

-Design PowerPoint presentations for teachers to use in the classroom, or
-for freelance language tutors to use when they do private tutoring.
•Writing Books

Much more taxing than writing an eBook. Writing an exceptional one offers residual income that will secure your #PIE

•Real Estate Investment Trusts

REITs pay out their profits to shareholders. You can own a share of property without the headache/costs that come with it.

REIT’s are great for diversification.

Check out my 3 favorite REIT’s in the article at the end of this tweet.
•Subleasing/Subletting

Own property already?

-Turn your back flat into a room you can rent out.

- Consider subleasing if the landlord is alright with it.

- Find tenants for vacant properties.
• Equipment Rental

Plant and equipment are great income boosters. Renting them out to construction companies for example:

- Generators
- Compactors
- Weed heaters
- Road cutters
- Chainsaws
- TLB’s (high rollers)
• Car Rental

Consider renting out a car you aren’t using.

- Moving houses
- Refuse removal
- Taxi

Don’t let reliable second hand cars go to waste.
•Renting Car Space

Do you live close to businesses, commuter links, or stadiums?

-Consider renting out your parking space near economic activities.

-Turn your yard into a secure parking bay and offer monthly membership fees for parking.

Parking space is a hot commodity.
•Advertising

Use you car for more than getting to work and the grocery store. If you are using your vehicle for one utility only, you may be missing out on income.

- Advertise products/businesses on your car.
- Advertise your products.

Look at your mileage as exposure.
•Micro Lending

This is high risk- but you could easily lend people money, to people who can’t get financing from the bank.

Tip:
Lend to those who want finance for business expansion, not those that use for consumption. Worst case worse; you can swap debt for equity.
•Vending machines

@WarrenBuffett started his own business at a young age. He bought a pinball machine and then charged people to play on it

Think:

- Vending Machines
- Pool tables
- Popcorn Machines

Anything you can generate cash flow from. #gaming
•T-shirts

Simple, but effective.

You don’t even have to have the inventory to get started.

Steps:
- Design shirts
- Samples
- Advertise

You could take preorders, you don’t risk buying goods you can’t sell. This mitigates costs and risks and allows you to gauge market.
• Domains

The person who bought Bitcoin(dot)com
must have made a killing for this domain.

Look at small businesses in your area who don’t have websites, buy their names online and then consider re-selling back to them. Show them the importance of an online presence.
•YouTube

YouTube could be a great revenue stream. Look at @IvynSambo , he’s a perfect example of growing a YT channel extremely well, by offering valuable content.

I Highly recommend subscribing to his channel

Here he talks about holding ETF’s👇🏽

•Music

There is so much to say on this, but so little characters available to me.

-License Music, check out how it’s done in the article below, and learn how the Pro’s do it on YouTube. #artist

What You should be asking;

“Are we entering into a hiking cycle”

If we are, researching is vital, you don’t want to be buying a liability, do you?

Most likely, Interest/R’s have floored and will ⬆️ Image
• Asset or liability

Let’s settle this for once and for all. Yes, a house is an asset.

My definition though:

Investing in SA or US equities.

Had a great conversation with @YoungInvestor03. What a kid, man.

Can’t go to school, but continues to learn.

We have started unpacking Renergen Ltd together #DYOR

Let’s check out some facts. 👇🏽

(Thread) 👇🏽
#DYOR Image
Renergen Ltd ($REN)

• 7 years young
• Negative earnings
• Negative cash flow
• Diluting shareholders

Yip, it’s a negative for me.
Don’t run away kicking and screaming just yet, like @YoungInvestor03 said to me, he has more time on his hands and he is willing to take on more risk.

Two things to consider here, are you:

•Risk averse
•Risk tolerant

*If you’re risk averse, then this stock isn’t for you

The blueprints to stokvel investing in 6 easy steps
#talkcents

Here is the story
(Thread) 👇
Step 1:

Define your target and niche.
Recruit a small group of people, friends, family, investors.

My group was expats.

Have a window period for recruitment and target a predetermined number of people, then close admission.

*Try to Keep it as confined as possible.
Step 2:

Open a 32day investment acct. Members can contribute an amount to this account on the monthly, as mandated by the stokvel contract.

We decided to contribute between R1000-R5000 a month. Our contribution amount is totally dependant on our affordability for the month.
