Illegal Palestinian structures, built in Area C without permits:
2009: 29,784
2018: 58,435
2020: 65,572
According to official data, every year Civil Administration tears down between 200-250 structures. So even if you hear of the odd demolition, it’s like a drop in the sea. PA is carrying out mass, rapid, illegal construction, changing the map by creating facts on the ground.
Looking at the number of illegal structures doesn’t tell the full story, however. While Israeli-Jewish construction is often ‘upwards’, the Palestinian-Arab construction tends to be ‘sideways’ – in other words, spreading over huge swathes of land.
In 2009, Israeli construction covered 47,327 dunams in Area C, while Palestinian construction sprawled over 44,495 dunams.
By 2019, number of dunams covered by Israeli construction increased slightly to 56,700 while Palestinian construction was over 78,500 (!) dunams.
🔔🔔 We are up against huge, EU-funded, PA-orchestrated efforts to steal more & more land in Area C, the section of Judea & Samaria under full Israeli jurisdiction. In line with the Fayyad plan that was devised in 2009, the takeover is methodical, strategic, & effective.
Israel can win this battle; but it must change its mindset & understand that this is about the future of our ancestral homeland. We call on the Israeli gov't to prevent the establishment of a de-facto Palestinian terror state in Israel’s heartland!

Why does Abu Talul, a Bedouin town in the Negev recognized by the Israeli gov't in 2006, still look like an illegal squatters’ camp?
▶️🔊 Find out in this short video.
In a comprehensive report in 2017, Regavim outlined a Plan for the Regulation of Bedouin settlement in the Negev. Read it here: bit.ly/35YWI8J #ProtectingTheNegev
Solutions include: >
A) To utilize land resources better in already-existing communities. Ridiculous that sometimes ⅔ of legal settlements are empty because of land ownership claims! Disputes must be solved by reducing compensation packages & initiating ownership clarification procedures in court.
Today, we held a field tour in Judea & Samaria with Likud MK @ArielKallner. The tour focused on the PA’s main project in the last decade: land grabs in Area C. We discussed challenges in #BattleforAreaC, particularly the #EU🇪🇺 backing of the PA’s illegal efforts.
After the tour, MK Kallner said: “The mass take-over of Area C is planned, and purposely carried out by people who want this land for themselves. >
> As someone who has pledged to stand up for the Land of #Israel, I cannot accept this reality, and the State should not accept it either. The Civil Administration is incapable of doing its job. We have to act with full strength – this is a national mission.” >
This week, radical left-wing organizations & media publicized that #IDF held drills “in Palestinian villages” in Training Ground 918 & forced “local residents out of their homes”. Time to talk some facts.
THREAD
1. Training Ground 918 in the South Hebron Hills was declared a firing zone by the IDF in the early ‘80s.
2. It’s a desert area, and like all other training grounds, was empty – besides sometimes functioning as grounds for grazing.
3. Training Ground 918 has served various IDF units over the years – including infantry, artillery, & Air Force.
4. In 2000, local Arabs began to take over the area through mass illegal construction.
A few weeks ago, a Bedouin man invaded into agricultural land that belongs to Moshav Nevatim & put up an illegal hut. Hut is small, but its impact has been huge: the Moshav workers aren't allowed to enter their fields to work & have received threats. 🚨 1/4
Nevatim, near Be'er Sheva, is surrounded by clusters of illegal Bedouin squatters’ camps, & has suffered for many years from crime, vandalism, burglary & agricultural theft. Recently we told you about the desecration of graves in the cemetery - bit.ly/3azpI8X

The frustrated farmers asked Regavim for help. So we went to National Enforcement Unit, Israel Police, & Israel Land Authority to demand that they stop this illegal land seizure. The invader must be held accountable!

Following last night’s events in Tamra, Regavim calls on Israeli-Arab leaders to back @israelpolice in the complex battle against organized crime in the Arab sector >
> Problem of organized crime & illegal weapons in the Arab sector has caused huge damage & distress to regular, law-abiding citizens. Recent acts of enforcement are important & conducive to better security & safety for all Israeli citizens. >
> The death of Ahmad Hijazi, who was killed last night in the crossfire with police officers, must be investigated. But we must remember that restoring Israeli governance throughout the country is a tough & complicated mission. >
