2) While masks have been required in public spaces inside the Capitol throughout the pandemic, fully vaccinated lawmakers and staff had been allowed to remove their masks in their offices.
3) The revised rule for indoor masking was only “recommended” by the California Department of Public Health after the new infections were reported last week. sfchronicle.com/health/article…
4) This follows Los Angeles County “strongly recommending” masks for even the fully vaccinated because of transmission leakage via breakthrough infections even among vaccinated.
5) LA County rightly follows @WHO advice to mask for the vaccinated— while CDC is downright wrong not to. Breakthroughs are becoming way too common. right to send a rebuke to the CDC on their no-masks-needed for vaccinated. @CDCgov needs to rescind that rule.
6) I strongly criticize the CDC for lifting mask rules whenever it is now beyond any doubt that vaccinated people can still transmit.

9) the key issue is that while you’re personally protected if vaccinated (2x), the much higher transmission (2x faster transmissibility than old strain) means a higher herd immunity level is needed to to #DeltaVariant. Singapore outbreak proves it—vaccinated still transmitted.
10) From the Singapore 🇸🇬 outbreak we see lot of asymptomatic transmissions. Many vaccinated still have mild or asymptomatic infections. This is a proven fact. And asymptomatic transmission has also been a long standing proven fact.
11) Meanwhile, if leaders don’t take quick mitigation action, this is what is coming to us… Missouri is now in a world of trouble with #DeltaVariant and hospitals being soon overloaded.
12) Fauci now says vaccinated folks may want to wear masks indoors for "extra mile of protection" if in areas with high #COVID19 transmission and low vaccination, especially if elderly or have underlying risk factors. But it’s very vague—so, clear as mud.

If CDC says we parents and teachers are on our own for schools, then we need to start getting creative with our own air disinfection devices… the Jerry-rigged air cleaning device below tapes together several MERV13 filters into a cube called a “Corsi Box” (named after @CorsIAQ).

NEW—Booster authorization sought by Pfizer Inc from FDA for a 3rd dose of its #COVID19 vaccine within the next month, “based on evidence of greater risk of reinfection 6 months after inoculation and the spread of the highly contagious #DeltaVariant”.
