A case to crack πŸ˜‰ and don't forget to share

Chioma is a 22 year old girl who came to the hospital with joint and muscle pain.
She's very athletic winning medals and her breakthrough came after representing Nigeria in swimming . She won gold
Chioma has been invited around Nigeria to teach upcoming swimmers.

Two weeks ago she visited the village to say hello to Grannies. The village herbalist has always had issues with Chioma and Western Education.

But Chioma still paid him a visit nevertheless
Back in the city
On this fateful day after a swimming class. Chioma retreated back home.
She noticed she could not breath later that evening..she doesn't have Asthma.

She called an Uber and rushed to the hospital
At the hospital Chioma was having joint pains ..and muscle pains.. Chioma's breathing got worse.

Chioma's mum thinks it's the village herbalist who is jealous

What could have happened to Chioma?
Don't forget to tag your friendsπŸ˜‰ and answer
NB...
The name mentioned above isn't associated with anyone living or dead. And most likely a coincidence if it bears any similarity
Chioma has actually been practicing Diving Lessons for her next competition.

She developed Decompression sickness.

Not very common but happens when some dissolved gases form bubbles within the body during high altitude diving.

It is common amongst Divers
Usually the air bubbles can be present in a lot of places with Joints being the most common location.

Others Lungs (shortness of breath, etc), Brain, Skin,

Chioma was admitted given 100% hyperbaric oxygen, fluids and she's better.

Stay tuned for more cases πŸ˜‰

For people in Banks & people working from home

Lately we have been seeing them develop DVTs (clots in the leg),Well 4 cases of Pulmonary embolism (clot in the lungs)

Due to sitting in a position for long. If you're in this category. Try getting TED stockings it reduces the risk
DVT means Deep Vein Thrombosis, when you are in one position for long, chances are the blood can stay in one position and harden to form clot (Imagine PAP)

Pulmonary embolism- the clot can move from the legs to your chest. It can kill you ( This killed GOLDIE the musician RIP.
TED Stockings means Thromboembolic Deterrent Stockings also called Compression stockings

Basically how it works it is squeezes the muscle of the legs and prevent blood from staying in the legs and reduce the chances of having clots. It is cheap and easy to wear

Basically CIPA is a condition in which due to mutation of a gene that is involved in production of a protein that is involved in pain and temperature sensation. The patient does not feel pain, there is also destruction of nerves to sweat glands so patients don't sweat
a way this patients present is with injuries from skin even to bone injuries. this occurring repeatedly can cause infections in the patient.

Sweating is a way the body cools off, no sweat disturbs body function and can cause Fever and seizures
This rare syndrome is similar though with subtle difference to Congenital Pain Asymbolia which was described by Late Nigerian Ibadan Professor, Prof Osuntokun in 1968.

I will find the article and send to you. A similar case was seen in 1966 in ibadan but with deafness
