SG Tushar Mehta: This case was brought to light three months ago. as soon as we noticed we have revoked the charges

Justice Chandrachud: SG Mehta states that after proceedings were heard an order of July 19 has been passed releasing the respondent in compliance of interim direction and revoking the order and provisions of NSA

Adv Farasat: my prayer c is for compensation, right from Rudul shah first aspect is release and compensation is the second aspect. 5 cases were cited against me in impugned order and no chargesheet was filed

SG: I think this should rest since we have immediately revoked the charges

Justice Chandrachud: it is submitted that a prayer of compensation has been made. we stand over the proceedings by two weeks for a counter affidavit. we issue notice on the issue of compensation

SG: This could have been avoided by a pragmatic approach

Adv Farasat: in this case responsibility has to be fixed.

SG: Petitioner is incidental, something else is being done. we will place a reply
