This thread is a compilation of writing/threads/tweets on Kautilya's #अर्थशास्त्रम् (Arthashastra).

Thread also includes refutation of propagandas against Kautilya/Arthashastra and topics which are refuted/supported based on Arthashastra.
(1) The very first article I wrote on Kautilya's Arthashastra, also published on @/indictoday

It traces origin-tradition-veneration of Arthashastra as a शास्त्र and later on guiding force for Empires/Kings. It also lists tradition before & after कौटिल्य.
vyasonmukh.in/2021/01/12/art…
(2) Here I refuted one propaganda which says slave (slavery) is found in Arthashastra.

Term used by कौटिल्य is दास which is NOT slave.
(3) #Coin issued by IT dept. honouring Kautilya and his tax collection concept from Arthashastra.
(4) My article (Part 1) on Chanakya-Chandragupta pair, based on a historical novel, published on @/myindmakers.
(5) Article (Part 2) on Chanakya-Chandragupta pair, based on a historical novel, published by @/myindmakers.

A good case of modern literature taking inspiration from works of कौटिल्य.
(6) Last article (Part 3) in the series of Chanakya-Chandragupta pair depicting how they both expanded/strengthen Maurya empire by defeating Seleucus and others.

One of the greatest milestones in Indian #History.
(7) Arthashastra says the king must be a विजिगीषु - The one having desire to conquer.

But which are the required traits for the king to become a विजिगीषु ? Read here 👇
(8) Declaring Arthashastra a fake text or not written by a single author named Kautilya are two old propagandas paddled by misguided scholars/people.

No strong evidence to support them. It is an effort to discredit our ancient heritage.
(9) Refutation, of a propaganda from Sanjay Dixit, where he tried to misquote कौटिल्य by misunderstanding even Hindi translation. 👇
(10) Secret practices to eliminate enemies (शत्रुवध), to protect the civilization, prescribed by कौटिल्य.
(11) A detailed article on - Duties of four वर्ण and वर्णाश्रम as illustrated by कौटिल्य. Duty of the king to sustain/manage वर्णव्यवस्था is also depicted here.👇
(12) ब्राह्मण must live on alms (भिक्षा) only ? Does शास्त्र also say so ? Certainly not. 👇
(13) Writing was already known to us during ~350 BCE. कौटिल्य has mentioned it in Arthashastra.
(14) Word लेखक in Arthashastra of कौटिल्य 👇
(15) कौटिल्य is against वर्णसंकरता (Mixing/changing वर्ण) and directed the king to maintain वर्णव्यवस्था in his kingdom. 👇

Roots of योग are Hindu, not Jain.

Common Sources -
#योगसूत्रम् (पतंजलि) predates any Jain literature (~200 BCE)
• Artifacts in योग positions (Sindhu-Sarasvati civilization) predate any Jain artifact (~4000 BCE/older)
• श्रीकृष्ण (योगेश्वर Master of योग) predates Jainism Image
During time of पतंजलि, writing was already in vogue in #India. Kautilya in #अर्थशास्त्रम् (~350 BCE) has mentioned keeping written records in administration.

It proves oral practice was already ended by that time. It means, Jain sources came later on.
Good to see you agree that Jain literature comes much later than योगसूत्र of Patanjali (~200 BCE)

Also, Kautilya in #अर्थशास्त्रम् (~350 BCE) mentions योग as a mandatory विद्या for a King (Ch. 1)

With time, Jains adopted few योग concepts.

Person doesn't know #History & current affairs is insulting a Dharmik Kshatriya king Jaichand.

• It was Jaichand who built the temple at Ayodhya
• His inscription helped Hindus to win over sullas in Ram Mandir case
• He died fighting against Ghori unlike cowards
Here are evidences on Jaichand which I have referred in tweet above. 👇
And this thread dismantles myths/propaganda about Jaichand. It also mention references praising Jaichand. 👇

In entire thread, not a single word is derogatory for woman but the चूल to comment without reading the content is so high in some ladies that they demonstrate their मन्दबुद्धि to all.

This is why I am blocking such handles.
Woman so much concerned about धर्म is using word ch*tiy*.

What a RW sherni ! 😀
U want me in jail ? Just for writing a thread ? Wah Bihar ki beti wah.

There is a world beyond मेधातिथि and Altekar. Few people have very narrow view point on such Dharmik matter.

In this Thread, I will answer basic questions about Sati with शास्त्रप्रमाण.

This thred is for genuine people, not for शास्त्रद्रोही people/gang.
(1)
(2)
Q - Is Sati practiced in ancient eras ?

A - Yes. Wives of श्रीकृष्ण and Pandu (माद्री) practiced it with grace. People keep them in high regard. Nobody condemned it (#महाभारतम् )

There may be more examples from other शास्त्र but these are well known.
(3)
Q - How can we believe what they did was शास्त्रसम्मत ?

A - Examples mentioned are always surrounded by धर्माचार्य and Dharmik people like VedaVyasa, Vidur etc.

They took this step after guidance from these greats only. Such steps can't be taken in isolation.

Thread -
Shallow understanding of @VedicWisdom1 on शूद्र and duties.

His claim : कृषि (Farming) is NOT work of शूद्र. This is FALSE.

Responsibilities/Duties of शूद्र are

शूद्रस्य द्विजातिशुश्रूषा वार्त्ता कारुकुशीलवकर्म च ।
#अर्थशास्त्रम् (1.3.8). See image. (1)
(2)
Where is कृषि here ? It is in वार्त्ता (Economical activities).

कृषिपाशुपाल्ये वणिज्या च वार्त्ता ।
#अर्थशास्त्रम् (1.4.1)

कृषि (Farming), पशुपालन (Cattles), वाणिज्य (Trade).

So, farming is also work of शूद्र.
(3)
Another FALSE propaganda to demean शूद्र (image 1).

Reality (image 2) - Explanation of 1st & 2nd tweets. शूद्र can do all activities related to economics as well as कारुकुशीलवकर्म (Performing/ non performing arts).

This person doesn't know any शास्त्र. Don't belive him.
