TRIGGER.
We need to talk about an American psychiatrist called Richard Gardner

He believed paedophilia was normal.
He believed 90% of women were lying about the abuse they suffered.

He literally ‘made-up’ a condition “Parental Alienation Syndrome” wt NO evidence whatsoever
2/ He used his position & influence to deliberately put kids into abusers homes

Even when med reports, police reports, teachers reports corroborated the abuse, Gardners view the mother ‘made it up’ would override those reports
For example …@DLulabele @jessradio @GeraldineBilst1
3/ There was one woman whom Gardner reported to the court to be lying about her abuse.
Shortly afterwards her husband SHOT her dead.
He did not repent about this - but instead defended the murderer
Saying HER behaviour made HIM psychotic. @MFWitches @SistersinlawAu @davtw2
4/ There was another time he forced 3 terrified boys to return to their abusive father - causing one to suicide. @custodypeace @MattsJane @engenderedpod @SDDivorceCoach @legalella @NataliePage31 @SistersinlawAu @nadinevoncohen @shaunwarnock_sw @Alymedywon @PCKJ3627 @bongindustryz
5/ Does this sound like one bad dude? One shonky doctor?

Unfortunately not. This one doctor has influenced legal history & the lives of countless survivors of abuse. His ‘books’ formed the basis of court decisions for decades and CONTINUES to do so here- In Australia too
6/ Remember Olga and her beautiful 2 children Jack & Jennifer Edwards, all of whom are dead? Parental Alienation is what she was accused of- by NSW police, by the children’s lawyer who forced them to see their dad..who eventually killed them.
@TheblueTake
abc.net.au/news/2021-04-0…
7/ only last week, the Queensland Police Union said the same thing - accused women of ‘making up’ abuse.@hold_my_pearls @actualeyez @AngieUn27401972 @survivorstrong3 @clare_m_cooper @unmaskthenarc @DangerousPlayg3 @ShesEqual @FalteringlyOn @HayleyFoster_

theguardian.com/australia-news…
8/ I’m seeing it happen here, today there are cases running EXACTLY like these now- mothers accused of lying, mothers told NOT to tell the court of their child’s abuse because if they do they’ll be accused of Parental Alienation.
If a doctor/ child protection backs her claims up
9….They will say the mother brain washed us also.

There is no process or regulations for reporting legal professionals and other so called Expert Witness that continue this framework- in fact the framework is actively supported by the courts forcing kids to go to reunification
10/ programs- literally designed to brainwash kids into attaching to the abuser.
Sounds like a crazy conspiracy? It does until you start to work in the system & see it is real.
It’s out there- it’s happening now.
Dr Gardner made all these theories up to support child abuse
11/ ..and in 2021 years after he died- our system continues to buy into them although there is no evidence for any of it.
@DrProudman summarises it all today in @guardian Read this - it is important. @LynAnge11 @WCS_CEO @sally_stevensxn

Calling her 45 times whilst she’s at work, then repeatedly calling her boss when she doesn’t answer, so frequently that she loses her job ..that…that will no longer be a legal behaviour.
Not allowing her to sit on chairs but demanding she sits on the floor, also won’t be legal
Asking her to document her toileting habits, minutes by minute accountability..won’t be legal anymore

Mon night on @TheFeedSBS NSW Police Officer McDermott said he respected my ‘opinion’ but I needed to know that @nswpolice WERE taking action on the vast majority of cases reported, that they WERE providing protection to ‘victims’, that they were WINNING & should be acknowledged
2/ for getting the ‘vast majority’ right. He said @nswpolice ARE supporting ‘our victims’
He said if the ‘narrative gets out’ that police are giving a bad service then ‘who will go to the police’?
I didn’t get the opportunity to reply to this misinformation at the time so ...
3/ firstly 80% of assaults are not reported at all-the ones that are the police see are the worst ones. Usually cases with the most evidence. Yet somehow, of the 32K reported, only 15K resulted in a charge. #notwinning #auspol #EnoughIsEnough

1/ I am a WOC & I advocate for Coercive control laws. The systemic racial & misogynistic injustices in this system are abhorrent. Current laws have been written by white men, these laws will be different in that they reflect the experiences of women. We need to draw a clear line
2/ between wanting to abolish the entire criminal justice system (abolitionism) & wanting to deny criminalising this one specific behaviour. None of the abolitionists have argued that CC is dangerous. The fight should remain with the oppressive system - not the women that seek to
3/ highlighting the problems with current laws that are written by men to protect men. There are no specific Domestic Violence laws. These will be the first ones that acknowledge the unique nature of violence against women in the home. Some women will always need to draw on a

22 candles, to remember the 22 women lost to gender-based violence this year. It’s too easy to pretend these devastating losses are an inevitability. This is the lie our govt wants us to believe. We can stop these deaths if we
1. Ensue safe houses & enhanced security for women to escape to
2. provide extensive trauma based psychological care for her & the children to enable healing & separation
3. Start believing women when they report abuse
4. Start believing the children who report abuse
5. Stop facilitating the myth that women make up allegations of abuse as a strategy
6. Help women to secure evidence with cameras & recording devices
7. Accept evidence of treating practitioners over independent medical examiners
8. Recognise the literature that demonstrates

1. APOLOGIES long and TRIGGERing thread.
Murder/ psychopathy/ #familyviolence

“He told me I wasn’t going to be with anyone else he told me I was going to die”
Police / lawyers think these things are said in anger or frustration. They tell victims to “block him” or “report him”
2.But victims recognise the PSYCHOPATH they live with. They’re not wrong. They know him. They wish they were wrong & are forever trying to talk themselves into believing it’s their fault. To imagine otherwise is even more horrific @CCCBuryStEd @thecrimeanalyst @JaneCaro
3. They are not exaggerating. They are not neurotic or crazy.
These women have lived day in & day out with them & know what he is capable of.
If she fears her life- she is correct in her assessment. It should never, EVER be dismissed. @MFWitches @earthma23 @davtw2 @FeeBenson
