Do @GOPLeader and his closest allies realize that the more they try to diminish or dilute the #January6thCommission (by attacking Cheney and Kinzinger or by trying to include members of the Carnival Barker Caucus to gum up the works), the more they look like they fear discovery?
They had a chance to have a completely bipartisan commission, with the ability for @GOPLeader to pick whoever he wanted to be on it. But guess who who whipped his members to vote against it? Yup. The same guy who is whining now.

@HouseGOP, if you wanted to have more control over what happens on the committee, you had the opportunity to have that in May when you voted on it. But 175 of you voted “no.” Don’t complain about what you voted for.
If you don’t like the position your leader put you in here, maybe you need a different leader.

I maintain that one of the biggest problems America has is the brat problem. We are home to a lot of brats, of all ages, who throw temper tantrums when they don't get their way.

And they think they're supposed to get their way because they're special. More special than others.
Brats can't tell the difference between an inconvenience and tyranny. Because, in the brat's world view, being asked to do something that they don't want to do, no matter what the reason, is just an unthinkable tragedy.

Brats throw hissy fits when they get asked to do things like wear a mask or get vaccinated to prevent the further spread of a deadly airborne virus. They step over the bodies of the dead to ask to speak to the manager and say "how DARE you tell ME what to do? The NERVE!"

I’ve shared several times that I gladly got the COVID vaccine, that my whole immediate family has, that I’m very happy I did and that I jumped to get the vaccine as soon as I could.

What I didn’t share is that this is unusual for me. I had never before been a vaccine person.
I am one of those parents who had concerns about “normal” vaccines (measles/mumps). I didn’t get a flu shot in my entire life until a few years ago - and then swore I’d never get one again because my arm got stiff (I got one since).

But COVID is different. I wanted THIS vaccine.
I would not have characterized myself as an anti-vaxxer. But with other things, I was not the kind of person rushing out to get every available shot.

So why did I work so hard to get the COVID vaccine as soon as I possibly could? I was ready to fly somewhere to get my shot.

Reconstruction ended around the time of the 1876 election.

The Jim Crow era unofficially drew to a close around the time of the 1964 election.

Between 1876 and 1964, the Democrats won the majority of the former Confederate states in every single Presidential election.
Since 1964, only once did a Democrat win a majority of the former Confederate states in a Presidential election.

Coincidentally or not, states which were the stronghold of the segregationist Democrats have become the stronghold of the modern-day Republicans.
What’s weird is that there are some Republicans today who say they dislike Democrats but who seem to have some sort of a romanticized fixation on Confederate leaders. Who, of course, were all Democrats.

I am reposting my series on facts about the 2020 Election, which I call the #TrumpLost project. Here's a bunch of facts that show that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, for anyone who has been listening to Trump's lies and needs to be reassured that he lost.
If Trump had somehow managed to win the election, it would have been at odds with a LOT of historical patterns. Presidents as unpopular as Trump don't get re-elected. And when the economy tanks as badly as it did in 2020, the incumbent party doesn't historically win.
Trump may be loved by the #MAGA crowd and those at @CPAC. But he was deeply disliked by moderate voters and he lost the support of Independents. Generally speaking according to historical patterns, this results in losing a Presidential election.

@ScottJenningsKY, I have complimented you in the past but I take issue with your denial that the GOP is trying to suppress voting. The evidence that they are is multifaceted and overwhelming.



Yes, Trump improved over his 2016 margins with black voters. But he lost black voters 87-12. And sadly, THAT’s both an improvement and also the best the GOP has done with black voters in a while, as you said on air. Probably premature to pop the champagne on that.
You deftly tried to pivot a conversation about the GOP’s voter suppression into a conversation on voter ID, which is not the same thing. What is happening is that the GOP, in every competitive state it controls, is enacting laws to make voting harder. You know it, I know it.

There are people in this country who, because of Trump's Biggest Lie, do not believe or at least doubt the fact that Trump did in fact lose the 2020 election.

I have done a lot of research on the election and here are some facts that corroborate the fact that Trump DID lose. Image
I have dozens and dozens of these and keep finding more. I don't have time to put these together all at the same time but I am going to keep adding to these here for anyone who needs to see them or share them.
