I got to congratulate @StonewallDems new president @AlexMohajer in person today when he came to support the victims of Ed Buck.

Verdict is in!

Waiting for jury…they have a verdict y’all.

Me. Now.

We will hold a press conference to discuss whatever the verdict is outside of the courthouse following the verdict being announced.

Dear Jackie Lacey, today Ed Buck, the man you said you didn’t have enough evidence to prosecute, was found guilty of nine counts in federal court.

I’m too much of a lady to tell you what I really want to tell you so I’ll let this GIF do the talking for me.

None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Asst. US Attorneys Chelsea Norell and Lindsay Bailey—better known as the prosecution. Two of the baddest women I have come across in life. I appreciate how they fought for Ed Buck’s victims.

I also want to thank @LASDHQ detectives Paul Cardella and Q. Rodriguez for everything they did to make sure there was a case to prosecute. We would not be celebrating today’s verdict without their hard work. Thank you so very much. I really mean that.

I hope that Black gay men everywhere know that it doesn’t matter if they’re sex workers, escorts, gay, HIV+, poor, unhoused or even addicted to meth—their life matters. Your life matters. We’re on each other’s teams. And you know.

We caught video of Christopher Darden and his Mini Me Ludlow Creary II leaving court today after their client Ed Buck was found guilty 9 times over.

Told you they were some losing ass attorneys. But what do they care? The check cleared 🤷🏾‍♀️

I was asked today what the toll on me has been fighting this case for four years. How my life is changed.

1. Grandma died
2. Best friend died of AIDS
3. Hysterectomy
4. I lost my relationship

But through all of that, even when I was lost and tired, I stayed the course.

Thank you God.

Oh and let me not forget another best friend died from COVID. Phew y’all it been a lot.

Tonight I hope my Stonewall Democratic Club colleagues will join me in supporting @AlexMohajer for president of Stonewall Dems. I cannot in good conscience support the incumbent given his behavior regarding his friend Ed Buck.

It’s time for new leadership. If the organization really wants to be who they say they are—electing Alex is a good step in moving toward that direction.

It’s clear that Christopher Darden and Ludlow Creary’s defense of Ed Buck involves weaponizing his victim’s HIV status. Darden and Ludlow are fixated on AIDS and making sure the jury has a negative connotation when they hear it.

The only relevance HIV has in this trial is the fact that Ed Buck is HIV positive and according to his victims, specifically asked them of their status and knew that they were positive when he did what he did to them. But the defense doesn’t want to talk about that.

The LA County Democratic Party has passed a resolution calling on Sheriff Alex Villanueva to resign. I'm glad we were able to get it done this time around. #VillanuevaMustGo

We helped to elect a wolf in sheep’s clothing and now it’s our responsibility to right that wrong.

We put a vindictive-self-serving-narcissist-registered-in-name-only Democrat into office–and now it’s time for us to use the same amount of enthusiasm, energy, and money we poured into electing Sheriff Alex Villanueva into removing him from office.

Remember when I exposed Compton council candidate Jace Dawson for lying about his nine degrees and working for Obama, Fox News, and several members of Congress?

Even with almost 200 votes, Jace came in last place during the primary. Jace then got into cahoots with none other than Isaac Galvan--who he ran against. Isaac then put him on a commission with the help of now outgoing councilwoman Tana McCoy and could be mayor Emma Sharif.
