Chief Justice Dipankar Datta of #BombayHighCourt asks the Advocate General Ashutosh Kumbhakoni to ensure that the details of the meetings held by the Special Task Force with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is informed to the administrative committee of the High Court.
The Committee has scheduled a meeting today to decide on the further course of action pertaining to the manner in which hearings are to be conducted in courts in Maharashtra and Goa.
The High Court is presently hearing matters through video conference.
CJ Datta: We need someone to give us details on that meeting, as our notice has to go out today. Usually the meeting is held before our meeting, but today it is scheduled on the same day. We do not need the entire Task Force, but the details have to be informed to us today.
AG: I will speak to Chahal (Iqbal Singh Chahal), Commissioner of BMC and get back.
I will ensure someone is present.
AG informs the Bench that #IqbalSinghChahal, Commissioner of BMC, and a member of the Task Force will be present in the meeting.
AG: The meeting with the CM is likely to get over before our meeting starts.
CJ Datta: We hope they also take a decision on train travel. There are reports in the media that the government is thinking of permitting fully vaccinated people to travel.
The Court will be hearing two PILs - one for directions to permit lawyers and their clerks to travel by local train, second for directions to permit fully vaccinated persons to travel - on Monday.
CJ Datta: Let a decision be taken, then we will consider.
