The oddity came with Kimberly Gervais who died two years later after suffering the results of surviving the Las Vegas massacre.

For the rest of us who didn't get beaten with this pattern, we have to stop pretending that the ripple victims of mass tragedy are shocking or surprising. They aren't.
Part of it is a lack of attention to mental health, but some of it is purposefully exploited.
