PM @JustinTrudeau's proposed changes to Canadian Human Rights Act will effectively end free expression in Canada.

The Orwellian bill defines “hate speech” as communication that expresses *detestation or vilification* identifiable groups.

Why is this scary? Read on.

@JustinTrudeau @scoopercooper revealed that Chinese Communist Party agents soaked up Canada's PPE supply and sent it to China at the beginning of the pandemic. A group working out of Minister @JoyceMurray's office launched a campaign to silence Cooper claiming Cooper vilified Chinese Canadians.
@JustinTrudeau @scoopercooper @JoyceMurray Had Trudeau's new censorship plans been in place, @scoopercooper could've been charged under the Human Rights Act for reporting the truth.
Various levels of government have claimed that discussion of Money Laundering in Vancouver real estate leads to vilification of certain ethnic groups.

Under Trudeau's new censorship bill, government will be able to crack down on discussion of #DirtyMoney in #vanre.
Trudeau has conflated criticism of China with anti-Asian racism on multiple occasions.

Under Trudeau's new censorship bill, government will be able to crackdown on criticism of Beijing's genocidal regime.
It's almost as if this law has been carefully crafted to shutdown reporters like @scoopercooper @TerryGlavin @DouglasTodd @Nuttallreports @bobmackin etc at Beijing's behest.
@scoopercooper @TerryGlavin @DouglasTodd @Nuttallreports @bobmackin Govt could even crackdown on reporting of Trudeau's cash-for-access dinners for CCP billionaires, simplify by saying that such reporting vilifies a certain ethnic group.
@scoopercooper @TerryGlavin @DouglasTodd @Nuttallreports @bobmackin The current threshold for hate speech, as defined by courts, is communications that "direct and active simulation of hatred against an identifiable group".

The amendments lower the bar precipitously.
Under Bill C-36, you can be charged under a crime you've not even committed yet.

A person can simply claim that they believe that you will commit such an act and have you charged.

#precrime
As always, I encourage you to read the bill yourself.

1. Why did Canada buy TransMountain pipeline?
2. Why can't we ban Huawei?
3. Why does Canada need to compensate Chinese companies for #COVID19 losses?

Answer to all 3 questions: #FIPA, the trade agreement with China that @stephenharper signed.

thinkpol.ca/2020/04/20/can…
FIPA, ratified in 2014, was negotiated by Harper government. It was passed without a vote in Parliament. Fipa, which remains in place until 2045, was signed to ensure that China got a pipeline built from Alberta to BC, among other benefits.

Under Canada's FIPA, Huawei Canada — as an existing investor that already owns assets and has business relationships here — "can bring a claim at any time against Canada, for any kind of regulatory action."
