(Thread 1/3): Joined @DLoesch on @TheFirstonTV this afternoon to explain why so many corporations are forcing vaccine mandates on their employees.
(2/3): Vaccines for Polio or Chicken Pox took decades to complete and the risk to children was significant. The #CovidVaccine is not tested, the risk to children is practically zero, and its efficacy is questionable. Imposing this on everybody is crazy.
(3/3): The #FirstAmendment allows criticism of the government, corporations, and powerful people. What we have here is direct evidence of the government working with social media companies to censor private speech critical of the government. #Twitterban libertycenter.org/cases/ohandley…

I've had to break the news to hundreds of people who call, email: given the federal and state employment agency and DOJ guidance on legality of employers mandating vaccines (which I disagree with and which is at odds with how they treat similar issues), workers have few rights. /
2/ Absent a BONA FIDE medical or religious exemption, employers don't have to accommodate your preference, and even then, they have ways around a valid exemption and can also shame you with special tags and masks and such, encouraging co-workers to peck you to career death./
3/ Employers WANT this to be mandatory because it takes the burden off them to accommodate the individual healthcare choices of their workers! They don't care about your fertility concerns, or your natural immunity from having recovered, or your desire not to be a guinea pig./
BREAKING — Fed court hands a victory to my friend & legal hero @MarinaMedvin, who is representing J6 defendants very zealously & professionally. The order that the government allow the public to see the tape involving one of her clients, is a First Amendment victory too!
2/There are a few competent and ethical DC-barred attorneys handling J6 cases, and a broader group around the country representing hundreds of citizens arrested that day for various alleged offenses. They each have ethical conflcits @MarinaMedvin is one of the good gals/guys.
3/There's a handful of OTHER attorneys chasing clients but who don't have relevant criminal defense experience and who seem hyper-focused on PR and fundraising, not competent criminal defense. If you are a defendant or family of one, do your homework & ask questions. High stakes.
At a rare, in-person meeting of the @CAGOP Executive Committee to decide whether the party should adopt a PROCESS for potential endorsement of a candidate to replace Gavin Newsom as California governor. In that process, one of the options will be a “No Endorsement” vote.
2/ There are supporters of several of the leading Republican candidates in the room. Yesterday, there was a Rules Committee report to approve the form of the rule amendment under discussion.
3/ John Cox is a member of the Executive Committee, who protested this rule outside the state party headquarters yesterday. He didn’t show up to vote against this today.
BREAKING NEWS— 9th Circuit just ruled against Gavin Newsom’s lockdown orders regarding schools, holding that the state deprived parents of five private school students of their rights to control their children’s education when it ordered all schools shut: libertycenter.org/wp-content/upl…
2/ First pages of opinion:
3/ and the court also ruled that the case is NOT moot, and remanded the case for further proceedings. The court ruled against our @Liberty_Ctr clients on the public school claims. We look forward to continuing this fight in the trial court! Important victory for parents and kids!
(Thread 1/4): Joined @CortesSteve and @JennPellegrino on @newsmax this evening - @GavinNewsom’s little band-aid bill is not going to make a difference towards crime. What is going to make a difference is if we stop electing ridiculous prosecutors who refuse to enforce our laws.
(2/4): Just like with #RecallGavinNewsom, billionaire money is funding the wrong side of recall efforts directed at prosecutors like @GeorgeGascon.
(3/4): The racial impact of #CriminalJustice issues is felt most negatively in low income and middle class communities. In San Francisco for example the violent crime wave has disproportionately hit the older Asian immigrant population.
The hearing in the Larry Elder and voter Betty Tom Chu matters (my firm represents the latter) may be seen here:
2/ Judge opens hearing with a tenative ruling that the tax return disclosure requirement doesn't seem to apply to recall elections, and if it did, Larry Elder substantially complied with it.
3/ Elder's lawyer Steve Baric says even if the statute applied, Larry Elder's alleged sin was providing seven pages of COMPLETE documents to the SOS, but those documents were not in the pile of hundreds of pages of redacted documents. He complied with the statute.
