2/ You can watch 10,000 consecutive political speeches, and you'll never see a person grabbing their elbows and crossing their arms during their speech. I've watched at least that many political speeches, and there are just a few people who stick out in my memory.

3/ One is Richard Nixon — at the very end of his "I am not a crook" Speech (delivered on 17 November 1973 and partially hidden by the lectern). Of course, Nixon was indeed a crook and this speech was loaded with body language deception tells.

4) Another of these exquisitely rare displays was exhibited yesterday by Tucker Carlson during is Vicktor Orbán-Hungary speech (pictured here and retweeted at the beginning of this thread).

5) A particularly infamous individual who routinely crossed his arms during his speeches was Adolf Hitler.

6) Crossing one's arms in this context screams of low confidence, emotional discomfort, and defensiveness — although Hitler displayed this so often that he may have quite erroneously believed it made him look stronger. It's also body language which is associated with deception.

7) Tucker Carlson's display of this arms-crossing behavior lasted 19 seconds — which is an eternity of time to cross one's arms whilst on stage.

8) Hitler used to routinely practice his body language in front of a mirror as well as with the aid of a photographer. Of course, he also gave numerous speeches on camera and to large crowds.

9) Nixon was a member of the US House of Representatives, a US Senator, a Vice President, and the President — so he definitely had plenty of time in front of the camera, although much of this was during the early ages of television and, of course, far before the internet.

10) However, of these three individuals, Carlson has, by far, more time in front of a camera — although, certainly less of it giving speeches with a considerably greater fraction in a television studio.

11) Carlson displays this arms-crossed configuration as be begins to criticize what he claims is poor US foreign policy and, in particular, what he contends is naïveté.

12) Superimposed upon his arm crossing, is Carlson closing of his eyes for about 3 seconds duration. Carlson is making these accusations on foreign soil — and his tightly-closed eyelids highly suggests he does not believe his own statement.

13) All three men exampled above are displaying dramatic cognitive-emotional dissonance. In other words, a portion of their psyches are struggling to be hyper-alpha while they each have deep-seated emotional insecurities.

14) We could stop the analysis right here, and it would be tell us plenty — to NOT trust Carlson (and Nixon — and Hitler)...

15) ...however, the particular manner in which Carlson is gripping his elbows so tightly — with his upper ams also held especially tightly against the side of his torso is so specifically reminiscent of Hitler's idiosyncratic Body Language display. Indeed, it's eerie.

16) Thus, either consciously (more probably) or subconsciously (less likely), there is a high likelihood that Tucker Carlson is trying to emulate Adolf Hitler's body language.

In turn, this behavior, highly suggests Tucker Carlson will run for political office in 2024.
