Ahead of #UNSC emergency session on #Afghanistan, 🇺🇳 @antonioguterres calls on the Taliban to ensure that international humanitarian law and the rights and freedoms of all people are respected and protected.

The Taliban must immediately do 3⃣ things:

1⃣Cease all hostilities & military action

2⃣Commit unequivocally not to harbour terrorist groups

3⃣Honour their promises to protect & uphold human rights including women, girls & minorities
