Trudeau misleads Zarei. He responds to Zarei's forthright question about Canadian criminal investigation giving as a reason why there is no such investigation as: "Because a crime happened in Iran".
COMPARE official position of Ukraine with the letter from @CommrRCMPGRC (July 7, 2021) to the Families.
Ukraine is dealing with the same obstacles, as Canada faces but "that did not become a hindrance to
7/16
the advancement of the [Ukraine] investigation." As shown, Canada also possesses legal means by which to conduct investigations under 'conditions of extraterritoriality'.
PURPORTED obstacles held up by @CommrRCMPGRC provide her with necessary cover as she implements what
8/16
appears to be a decision made under political direction to NOT open a Canadian criminal investigation.
IN MY OPINION - The decision to not open a Canadian criminal investigation came through political channels. The decision to refer the case to Ukraine for investigation,
9/16
RCMP Commissioner Lucki 'claims' [italics] is her own decision.
REGARDLESS, the Government of Canada now considers itself in the clear and can inform Iran that there is no prospect of facing criminal accountability through the Canadian justice system.
10/16
🚨 HOWEVER, the official Public Complaint against RCMP Commissioner «CHANGES» all of that.
AS THE COMPLAINANTS seek to insure the RCMP Commissioner is held responsible and accountable for her decision, a formal process is underway.
11/16
NO LONGER can Iran proceed with the assurances and accompanying 'peace of mind' [italics] that it has managed to evade criminal culpability in Canada and ultimately, accountability and justice.
12/16
As @CommrRCMPGRC proceeds down this path, she does so in plain disregard for the provisions of the Criminal Code and laws of Canada.
The Government of Canada appears to pulling the strings and as a result, RCMP Commissioner hot-patotoes the case to Ukraine.
13/16
BUT, it is worse as it is not a mere cast-off (in police vernacular, 'slough off') of a case, because Ukraine has no jurisdiction in either international law or national law to address the issues surrounding the crimes against Canadian citizens and the interests of Canada.
14/16
IN CLOSING, while I have used as an example, "terrorist activity", there exist other possible offences unrelated to terrorism in Canadian law, such as:
☞ Use of Explosive or Other Lethal Device [namely, SA-15 (Tor-M1) Missiles], Section 431.(2)(2) Criminal Code;
BOTH OFFENCES, like terrorism-related offences, carry a punishment of life imprisonment and each are supported by their own 'extraterritoriality' jurisdictional provisions for offences
"In the past week, I have received what I would call threatening and harassing emails from the lawyer acting for the Government of Canada. Very distressing emails." (18:11)
2/4 WHEN GOVERNMENT lawyers are so audacious as to (brazenly) threaten and harass a lawyer acting on behalf of the families of Flight PS752, during an existing proceeding before the courts -
WHEN strong-arming becomes visible ...
3/4 'obstruct, pervert or defeat the course of justice' CAN'T be far behind.
CANADIANS MUST ASK
☞ What is the likelihood that this government did not exert (political) pressure on @CommrRCMPGRC@rcmpgrcpolice to insure NO Canadian criminal investigation?
2/6 THREAD | VIDEO 1
Speaking about Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752, a government spokesperson states the official position of this Liberal government:
"The Government of Canada does not consider this an intentional act."
AS A FORMER @rcmpgrcpolice#RCMP (Ret'd), Criminal Code of Canada «DOES SUPPORT» a Canadian investigation and prosecution of the downing of Flight #PS752. Period.
This Liberal government does NOT want a Canadian criminal investigation. It wants the easier route.
"The Government of Canada does not consider this an intentional act."

IN MY OPINION - AS A FORMER @rcmpgrcpolice#RCMP (Ret'd), the decision by @CommrRCMPGRC is unjustifiable. (Attached) She has sloughed off (or if one prefers, sluffed off) and shirked her sworn responsibility under the laws of Canada onto the Ukraine. @ps752justice

MY INTEGRITY, EVEN IN RETIREMENT, will not allow me to sit idly by or remain silent as this travesty
3/3 of 'in∙justice' unfolds before our eyes. Enough said here, for now.
In the (lengthy) 16-Part Thread below, ask yourself after reading it: What is the likelihood that political interference has not cast its (ugly) shadow across this decision?
