Myself, Human rights defender, I act to promote or protect human rights in a peaceful manner. Human rights defenders are identified above all by what they do and it is through a description of their actions.
I regret to say that @kigogo2014 doesn’t fit that description as HRD.

To be a human rights defender, a person must act to address any human right (or rights) on behalf of individuals or groups. Human rights defenders must seek the promotion and protection of civil and political rights,

as well as the promotion, protection and realization of economic, social and cultural rights.

Human rights defenders must address any human rights concerns, which can be as varied as, for example, summary executions, torture, arbitrary arrest and detention, female genital mutilation, discrimination, employment issues, forced evictions, access to health care and equality.

As far as Tanzania is concerned @kigogo2014 has gone from being a human rights defender to being the chief propagandist of the State Propaganda Mashinery and the ruling party @ccm_tanzania’s mouthpiece.

We want all Tanzanians who love justice, human rights and the rule of law to strongly condemn the actions of @kigogo2014 and joined us to ask @Twitter @TwitterSupport @verified to remove the verification which was given to protect him as a Human Rights defender.

Due to the fact that @kigogo2014 has been on the side of the perpetrators and a supporter of torture and political persecutions against @ChademaTz and its chairman @freemanmbowetz.
@kigogo2014 openly stated that he wants Mbowe to be imprisoned and he’ll turn a State witness.

Kindly, assist the process of removing verification and exclude @kigogo2014 from Tanzania's Human rights activists.

In short @kigogo2014 has been running hate campaigns, homophobic attacks against other activists who do not accept his views one of the me and other like @Chahali

We believe @kigogo2014 has lacked the qualities of being a human rights defender because he has become regime’s mouthpiece and chief propagandist.
@FordFoundation must immediately stop bankrolling and supporting his activism.

@FordFoundation must know that they are giving grants to a person who is the leader of the movement to degrade the dignity of other Tanzanians and incite hatred against Tanzanians who are LGBTQI by launching homophobic attacks calling names everyone who opposes his views.
