A little while ago on the radio I heard a reporter berating Justin Trudeau for lashing out at a protestor who verbally attacked Sophie Trudeau. The reporter seemed to want him to be remorseful for his anger. He was not. "Good for him!" I say. 1/8

Apparently this protestor called Mme Trudeau something so awful none of the news media can bring themselves to say it or even reference it with a letter (and we know they can say "N-word" as a stand in for another slur). 2/8

And yet, this reporter thought it was inappropriate for him to defend his wife? I have not a shadow of a doubt that, had he not responded, the CPC would have been all over it, saying he was weak or that he didn't care about his family. 3/8

She went on to ask if he regretted linking the protestor to the hospital protests in his response. Again, no, he did not. He summoned up the image of the most awful people who are top of his mind at the moment and that's what he threw back. Quite reasonable, really. 4/8

There are lines, and the protestor crossed one. And Justin Trudeau did what anyone who loves their spouse and family would do. He was angry and he responded. Not with violence, although the man was trying to get him to fight. 5/8

Our PM is nobody's doormat. He is a man with vision, passion, and a great love for his family, and also this country. This is very refreshing, as I don't recall seeing that from Erin O'Toole, or the other leaders. 6/8

Trudeau is leading towards a positive vision. O'Toole is flip-flopping, telling each audience what he thinks they want to hear. Singh is busy tearing down the Liberals (and his "facts" aren't always facts). And the rest all have some axe to grind. 7/8

So, this election, we can choose between the yes-man who tries to suck up to everybody, the slick salesman who is trying to get with the cool kids, or the man who stands up for what he believes in and genuinely wants a better future for all Canadians. Your choice. 8/8
