@eagle4congress .Long thread.

Seven years ago, my late wife was experiencing severe abdominal discomfort, and we sat in the ER for hours until a bed was located. Turned out she had colon cancer, and needed emergency surgery. There is nothing unusual about such cases.
@eagle4congress I too have gone to the hospital in severe discomfort and waited hours to be admitted and diagnosed for treatment, and all before anyone ever heard of the #Covid virus.

Chris stated that people were being "turned away" at FL ERs, and was asked to provide the names of hospitals
@eagle4congress where that was happening.

He doesn't. Instead he provides one case where a child had to wait, then be transferred because the hospital's pediatric surgery cases weren't up to the challenge. There is no statement from the hospital system about their ERs turning people away.
@eagle4congress If you follow the links backward, the boy's father, Nathan Osborn, said that if the hospital had been less crowded, his son Seth's waiting time would have been less. That's a tautology. The story is careful NOT to say how much time was needed to properly assess Seth.
@eagle4congress Dad adds that MAYBE his son's appendix wouldn't have burst before they removed it. Well, look at hcup-us.ahrq.gov/reports/statbr…
It's a study of appendicitis in the U.S. in the first decade of this century, and it took me less than five minutes to find.
@eagle4congress If I am reading Figure 1 correctly, in that time period more than 30% of adolescents with appendicitis had it burst before it was diagnosed and removed. For non-adolescents, 29% overall. So it's a quite common complication.
@eagle4congress Going back to PEOPLE and PRO PUBLICA, there are no medical details that would let you judge even approximately what the waiting time for Seth's surgery would have been if he'd been seen the moment he came in, or whether his appendix wouldn't have burst before removal.
@eagle4congress I called the hospital in question, btw, and was shunted to voice mail. We'll see what THEY have to say about their ERs. Remembering the ROLLING STONE'S Ivermectin story, I suspect the hospital system itself will have a different take.
@eagle4congress All of this is typical of these horror stories, in my experience. Chris made a very serious claim: FL hospitals are TURNING PATIENTS AWAY FROM THEIR ERs, allegedly because they are overwhelmed with covid patients. He can't come up with a single name.
@eagle4congress Instead, he tries to palm this off on us.

IMAO, the fact that all the "get vaxxed today, or disaster awaits" crowd lie like this, and so badly, shows that many of them know telling the truth wouldn't serve their purposes.
@eagle4congress It also shows that many of them are suffering are so panicked that they can no longer recognize or evaluate the truth.

Another long thread, alas.

This is a great illustration of Surowiecki's contempt for those who disagree with him about the #vax. Hilariously, he is the author of THE WISDOM OF CROWDS, but has decided the #AntiVax crowd has no wisdom at all.
Let's examine his sneers, as he tells us what we ought to think.

We should be opposed to Monoclonal Antibody therapy, because it isn't FDA approved yet. Implicit in this is the idea that one can't evaluate the FDA or its decisions intelligently. We are just too stupid for that
(unlike other crowds, which are oh, so wise).

He claims MAB trials started just before those of the #vaccines. I turn to Wikipedia, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monoclona…, and find that MABs were developed in 1975, and the developers won the 1984 Nobel Prize for Medicine that achievement.

Sorry, but he's right. The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that ongoing open hostilities or actual armed rebellion must be taking place for treason to occur. The traitor must make war against the U.S., or actively aid the foreign enemy/rebellion during hostilities.
Some references:

criminaldefenselawyer.com/resources/trea…

"Time of war. Treason by aiding the enemy can't be committed during peacetime; there must be an actual enemy for the traitor to aid. The requisite enemy designation typically requires a formal declaration of war."
legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/treason

"The Treason Clause applies only to disloyal acts committed during times of war."

"What constitutes giving aid and comfort to the enemy may be described, in general, in the words of Mr. Justice Field: ‘The term “enemies” . . .

I DID click the link, and noticed that the article defines the "fully" vaccinated in such a way as to minimize deaths from Covid after vaccination. Somewhat dishonest, that.
Reading further, there is this (my additional text highlighted). That's 11,037 deaths not mentioned in the part they wish to play up.
Further down, we find the following information.

.The vaccinations are going to be tested. THE EUA WILL BE THE TEST. Based on what little we know now, the results will be very bad for some children, especially boys.

This is one of the reasons I keep talking about World One, World Two, and World Three.
The parents clamoring to get their children enrolled in these trials are operating in World Two, the world of belief and emotion. They are terrified of the Great Killer Covid Virus®, and believe the Great Savior Vaccinations® will slay the evil virus monster.
Behind this is a belief, that it is possible to go through life without taking risks.

But the #CCPVirus is in World One, the world of physical law. In World One, the vaccinations have risks of harm, and will till we know far more about them, probably for decades to come.

A quick perusal of Wikipedia reveals:

a) At peak, less than one in 12 Israelis lived on kibbutzim; many of the kibbutzim were basically military settlements at the border. Today, only about 1 in 45 are kibbuzniks.
b) Only 9 years after Degania was founded, the first moshav came into existence (moshav being farming communities with some socialist features, built around family farms).

c) Moshavim outnumber kibbuzim around 450 to 270; people prefer their own homes & land.
d) 15 years after Degania was founded, the first kibbutzim economic crisis hit; they have recurred frequently.

e) The socialist egalitarianism of the kibbutz movement has been very badly eroded over time.

Most roads belong to the public, which has appointed the govt. to build and manage them. The right to set rules for their use follows from their public nature.

You are, however, free to drive drunk on the wrong side of the road on your own property.
Vax mandates expand beyond public property to all of life, and impose on people far beyond what is necessary to stop the spread of disease. The govt. arguably has the right to require tests, and to quarantine those that are infectious. It does not propose to do this, though.
Why it doesn't propose to do this I can't say. Perhaps it has something to do with its own statements that the vaccinated can still be infectious?

But whatever the reason, the claimed power needs legal justification that it very probably lacks.
