Fencing and additional security equipment have returned to the U.S. Capitol Building, ahead of a ‘Justice for J6’ rally being held Saturday here in Washington, D.C.

The rally is being held by an organization called ‘Look Ahead America’, which is advocating for some of the January 6th arrestees currently in jail. This is their third event in DC this year.

Proud Boys attended the New York City CAPP rally, though have largely indicated they will not be attending the September 18th Look Ahead America event in DC. A recent post described it as “a glow fest” over concerns of infiltration by agitators

This appears to contradict a statement from a member of the Proud Boys at the August 22nd rally in Portland (dubbed ‘Summer of Love’), “We need you to show up, September the 18th, in D.C.”

Donald Trump has not specifically promoted attendance of the September 18th event, though he did release this statement through the Save America PAC on Thursday “Our hearts and minds are with the people being persecuted so unfairly relating to the January 6th protest”

A flyer stating “Facists are returning to DC” posted outside the Capitol Building ahead of the rally. Some counter-protesters against the Justice for J6 event have indicated their intention to demonstrate Saturday in DC as well

Additional layers of fencing being placed on the west side of the Capitol Building. The rally, initially intended to be held on the west lawn of the Capitol, has since been moved further away to Union Square, outside the larger steel perimeter fence

Fencing up surrounding the Supreme Court of the United States as well, though no protests related to ‘Justice for J6’ or counter-demonstrations are expected at the Supreme Court on Saturday

The ‘Look Ahead America’ organization’s Executive Director, Matt Braynard, has indicated in interviews the rally is strictly for their cause, releasing guidelines for attendees, including “Do not wear or bring political, candidate, or another organization’s paraphernalia”
